PKR My Drama Queen Patellofemoral Knee

Glad to hear you are calling on Monday and yes, you need at least two second opinions. I have my OS appointment on Tuesday and am worried he will tell me he doesn’t see anything wrong with it like your surgeon. [emoji38] and try to manage my expectations! Yet it is visibly misaligned. I have two second opinions scheduled. One with an OS affiliated with Johns Hopkins and one with Georgetown, both with Revision experience.

Your leg will speak for itself whether or not he acknowledges it. Your main purpose is just to show it to him, since you’re not going to let him do more surgery.

((((Jockette)))), you have my hugs and my prayers. I really think you will be doing the right thing by getting the second opinion. I pray your two doctor selections are in your network and you can get in quickly to see them both.

I SO don’t want to do this surgery again.

I completely understand your hesitance. But, with a knee that is done correctly you'll see the improvement way sooner than what you've been through with this one. Just think, one day you will have much less pain and maybe be even painfree with a correct knee!

:console2:Sending you a hug. It's ok to shed a few tears. I hope your second opinion surgeons can give you some answers.

WooHoo! [emoji322] congratulations! I hope to get all my X-rays and reports from my current OS tomorrow for my first 2nd opinion on June 15th.

@Hood1980 I didn’t get all my info the day I asked for it, it took a couple of days.

I have a son that lives near my current surgeon's office. Maybe he can pick up all the info for me if it's not ready today?

@Hood1980 Thats a great idea. Maybe they will put it together for you right away since you are coming a distance. It doesn’t hurt to ask.

I guess mailing is an option, but for something this important to you, I would personally prefer hand pick up. Give them your son’s name, you may have to authorize his pick up. (And maybe call him first to ask!)

Yes, you will have to sign a release to have your son pick up your records due to HIPAA laws.

Getting all my records was not a problem at all. The dr himself printed it all out for me before we left.
