Late good afternoon dear friends
(Tho its 11am here)
Woohoo @ChrissyW you got thru another day. Thing is, I think that when you return to work everyone thinks you're ready willing and able to do the good job you always did and they never heard of ODIC!
But it's a mixed bag, you know ,maybe stressful on the body but to experience normalcy on the job must give you a feeling of accomplishment.
You're actually back at work!
Finally became totally naughty last night and rolled on to my stomach in bed.To justify the risk I did a search because was curious about how long does it actually take good new bone to grow around the new hip thus anchoring it and making more adventurous moves safe?
Very loosely it says about 3 months also the growth of new bone around the prosthesis can cause thigh pain!!!! I wish I could find the exact site but thought of you right away!
@Mayhip8 I totally agree with @Jaycey and you may know this anyway from being on the other side of it--- patients who are more persistent and get their concerns addressed!!! I would not let up till I got some answers. Also met with a friend last night who is 10 years out from her THR who said it took her months to be totally pain free, but now all is well and her hip has been a champ for her.
We've just gotta get you a matched set!!!
Too much chocolate talk!
Hmmm, thinking chocolate chip cookies or brownies!
Burgers on the grill tonight!
Love and hugs!

United States

. What an incident and what a week. But the important thing is that you survived it with your sunny side up
)
so it's a good ache but painful nonetheless.
)

to read this but hoping your shoulder feels better fast!
Do you have an extra ice pack
or heat? And yes pain pills on board!
