Week 154 POP
Hello Everyone
I am fast approaching the 3rd anniversary of my right hip replacement.Things have been going reasonably. 2014 was a bust but 2015 promised me that it would be a lovely year so I am looking up instead of down as I trip one way or the other and the view is better up.
After my mom passed the year went a bit squirrelly but in May, a high note, I got cortisone shot in my hip muscles and, amazing grace, I stopped limping and the pain was reduced by at least 50%. I had the best summer since 2005. The results lasted until Septemberish, Things went so well that when I saw my OS in October we cancelled surgery as I was doing so well. Only one problem I was involved in a 3 car pile-up on the same day as I saw the OS. My xrays showed all was well with my prosthesis. Two weeks later the whip lash and lower back, and knees were giving me heck.
I feel like I am back where I was 18 months ago. My family doc reassures me that it is all from the accident but it still is frustrating as now I have to deal with new stuff. Presently I am in a poor me mood. My neck issues keep me from sleeping much but I know it will pass. I just happen to be from the instant generation, you know microwaves and instant coffee?
Everyone keep well and know that even if I do not post I still think of you all.
