Oh, you're funny! But I do think you might be right about the staples. Having just the glue certainly must make a difference. Although both knees were done the same way, this second one does seem to be progressing more quickly. Then again, the first knee was the worst knee, so I guess it makes sense that it would be a little tougher.
My home therapy for the first knee wasn't really all that great. I didn't know of any places, so the doctor's office set it up. When I started out-patient, the therapist would ask if I had done various things, and the answer was always no. Didn't make much progress until out-patient started. This time around, for my home therapy I have the same therapist I had for out-patient, so I know a little more about what to do. I'm just trying not to over-do and have a setback.
I'm amazed at the size of the incision too! At my pre-op class I held the knee they put in and it amazes me that it fit. They must really use those retractors to stretch things out. I do want to say that the small size of the incision was not the reason I went with the doctor I did. What made me choose him was the faster recovery. Granted, I still have the same amount of physical therapy everyone has, but those first few weeks are quite a bit easier.
It sounds to me like you are really coming along yourself! Isn't it great to be able to do "normal" things again and talk about our knee replacements in the past tense?
