Thank you @beachgal, @bottomshollow, and @Hoppy Nanny! Encouragement and support have helped me so much (much more than clam shells ) lol. Can't tell you what it means to me.

Have my three month visit with my OS next Friday. Hoping to have restrictions lifted (so tired of pillows). Knowing my Doctor maybe I shouldn't get my hopes up too much but can't help getting excited about the thought of seeing what this new hip can do. Life is good right now. So happy!

Hello all my friends! Wanted to wish you all a Merry Christmas and let you know I'm hoping everyone is doing well or at least on the road to getting there. I am very happy this Chrostmas. I am having entire family here, and with a little help from my husband, I can do it! Still some upper thigh pain, but nothing I can't handle. The relief and joy is immeasurable, just the feeling of knowing I did it, and made it through the worse part and now I have the rest of my life to appreciate the gift I've been given.

Anyone out there still struggling or those in the early days..........we are all sending you good wishes and prayers that the new year will bring pain free and happy times to you. You gotta believe it will happen. It helps a lot.

Here's to all of us Bonesmarties!!!! We had the courage to do what we had to do and we made it! What a wonderful New year is going to be! Best wishes for a very Merry Christmas!

Peace and love, Rhonda XXXX

@RhondaK, what a great reflection! It's so true! We are hosting hubby's family for a formal dinner tonight and there is no way I could have done it without my THR! I feel great! My energy level is back and then some! A few little kinks I'm still working on but nothing like before.

I'm toasting us both tonight and all our Bonesmarties who have walked through the fire and come out better than ever! For those still on the fence, you don't know what you're missing. Yep. The pain.

Merry Christmas, my friend!!

@Rhonda K I just caught up with your thread and you really sound like you are doing well. How have things gone since the last update?

You mentioned to others about not being discouraged about progress in slow times. I second that, speaking from my recovery and talking with others not on BS, a mental lull at some point seems to affect many (including myself) and the support and encouragement here is pretty spectacular. Sometimes just knowing that we are not the only ones experiencing a symptom is helpful. All those that came before us in the journey often turn out to be right. Things get better, most nagging things seem to pass like they say and we each have our own pace that works for our own bodies.

Hey @grnplatebrd. So nice to hear from you and thanks for checking on me. So happy to hear from one of the gang from awhile back when we were newbies and so scared and confused....lol. Most from our era don't come here often now. That's good, they are healing up and back to their normal lives. I still hear from beachgal. She is in Paris now and I'm sure having a great time. So happy for her. I worry about Carriemae. No word from her in a long time. Hope she is doing ok........

As for me, I am doing well. It took me awhile, and there were times when I was scared something was wrong, but my time finally came and now I feel real good most of the time. Yes it is sooo true. We are all definitely different in the time frame we heal. But it does help so much to know others have the same issues and fears that we have. That's the value of this site and the friends we have made here.

I still have nagging soreness and some stiffness from time to time. But nothing major. Just got back from a couple days in Laughlin Nv. About a four hour drive from us and I was a little stiff from the car ride but the major thing was I was able to go and walk where ever I wanted and do what ever I wanted. A year ago.......no way! So life is inching toward normal now. What a relief! Glad you are doing so well too! To me time is the best medicine. And maybe a little patience and faith. Great to hear from you!! Keep us posted.

It does get better & better......and we get our lives back ...perhaps not as good as we'd like to be...but oh so much better without THAT pain. Take care..,Chrissie xx

Back from Paris and thought about all my BSmarties while I was there--almost every day! It was cold and rainy with slippery sidewalks and cobblestone streets but we took our time and navigated around like pros! Our apartment was on Ile St Louis, overlooking the Seine, and on the ground floor so quite comfortable for us. We savored the joys of Paris, the food and wine, spent rainy days at Le Louvre or Musee d'Orsay, and I shopped the January sales like crazy! For a planned, canceled, then last-minute trip, it was amazingly perfect!

I've read about your lovely advances and new-found confidence in your recovery and am so pleased. I'm nit 100% yet but inching there. It IS slow but sure. Baby steps, remember.

Wonderful to read about everyone in our gang and even though we are all in different places in our recovery, we are still bound by our shared experience. So glad to be a part of you!
