**Correction, due to my medicated state, I'm told it is only Thursday, not friday : )Mprning 4 after surgery. Last night was the first good night . I have been in 'itchy h*ll'. I had a morphine pump out of surgery and I clawed myself so badly (half asleep and not realizing it) then the nurses went thru a menagerie of meds that would not itch me. Monday night I had an episode the my pulse ox staying really low so they were limiting my pain meds. Finally today(Fri) morning I am feeling better, found the pain meds that worked and no mo oxygen trouble. I should go home today.. I didn't feel like posting earlier in the week and I know you all understood.
I'm anxious to be home and get started on more intense therapy. [Just found out yesterday my insurance thru my husbands work (bluecrossblueshield of pa) are making it hard for me to find a 'home care' service for the first two weeks. They are telling me no one will take me. Which is about ridiculous here in Alabama considering probably 1/4 of alabama works at U.S.Steel. Worst case scenario my husband will have to take me to therapy. Off to get my coffee before that little girl gives me hell w/the therapy. Thank you so much for all the well wishes.

Now it slow and easy gets you there, remember?! No rush for therapy, all in due time. I hope you insurance kicks in. Don't forget this is only your third day post-op. I'm happy to hear your oxygen level is back to normal that always feels better. I wish you a speedy recovery and stay well my friend!

I haven't had any PT since the hospital Thurs. morning.. been doing my exercise and getting on the cpm. I'm at 70% flex on the cpm. I really have trouble w/the slides though. Need to work on those before me eval at PT on Tuesday morning.
You hear all kinds of horror stories and I don't want to have to tell one of my own!
