Hi Natalie

I am so glad your surgery is sooner rather than later.

I don't know what else to say except to tell you a little story.

A number of years ago I had this whopper of a nightmare and it upset me so I kept waking up from it but when I fell asleep again there it was again. Finally as dawn approached it got horribly bad. Just as I started to wake up I had this epiphany , as clear as if someone was whispering in my ear and it said Everything will be OK.

I have remembered that message? many times when things got bad and it helped. So I hope this will help you too.

Thank you Carol that really does help I will keep saying that to myself xxx

Natalie;
I'm so thrilled that your surgery date got moved up.
At least you will find out what is going on and get you more comfortable.
xx

They are doing the aspiration and a scope to clear out the disease and maybe open it up if there is too much and an EUA to see how much the knee is moving to determine if anything is wrong with the implant so it's all a bit up in the air of how much they will need to do and what recovery will be.They also said if its obviously infected they may do something to help that too!!

Goodness! Thats an open book isn't it! No wonder your both worried. Plan for the worst then your prepared. Ish! Anything less is a bonus. Atleast the surgeon will have a better idea of what's wrong and hopefully work out a plan for the future. Take care, stay strong, have faith Xx

Natalie....sweetie.....I'm so sorry you are hurting. I'm sending you some comforting vibes and hoping that they help a little. The good news is that your surgery date is soon. Oh my, am I relieved to hear that!! I pray for you every day and truly hope this time you get some real answers.

Please give your dear hubby a hug for me too. I know he's worried about you....bless his heart! It's good for him as well that the surgery is soon.

Thanks Dawn I think that is the best way to prepare for the worst.Only a week to go!!xx

Thank you Jamie he is really struggling so I will give Him that great big hug xx

On the home stretch now Natalie! Not long until your day! :dancy:

Why do we always try to run before we can walk?!

Because I'm on 2 crutches I've had to carry a bag around with me so I can fill it with my lunch/breakfast/drinks when noone is at home to help me.In the kitchen I have a chair that I sit on that I can move around the kitchen with and make myself lunch etc but because I'm on 2 crutches I cant carry a cup of tea or plate of food so I make up bottles and packed lunch put it in my bag and take it to where I'm resting well this morning my knee felt stronger so off I went with 1 crutch to the kitchen from the upstairs to make a nice sandwich on a plate and a drink in a cup instead of a flask all was going well until I started back to sit down on my sofa and omg all of a sudden an excruciating pain started and I literally felt my knee balloon and I had to put the food down and hop back to my seat!!The dog then ate my lunch!!!!

Moral of the story don't try to run before you can walk!!

Natalie, :cry4:So sorry about the PAIN! but :hysterical: about the dog eating your lunch. What a good sport you are for sharing this with us.

So funny and so sad at the same time. You are such a trooper and have been through so much. I have my fingers and toes crossed for you that things will be resolved for you this time.

Keep fighting the good fight and keep us posted. We care . :cat-kittyandsmiley:

Oh poor you Natalie, I think in your case " walk before you can crawl" (sorry!) You need one of those zimmer frames that doubles up as a tray, should be able to get one through OH people. Hope your ok though, how's the knee now? Xx

At least he won't look at you with a puzzled look when you say you are in pain!
My original OS seems to not get that. He is an athlete, and while I hope nothing bad happens, if something were to....well lets say I'd love to "manage" his pain:th_heehee:

LOVE this:thumb: I too have a long list of people docs and others that I would truly love to manage their pain, also:hysterical:

Yes I think I do!!
It's sore but not too bad I'd taken off one of my patches as I felt rotten with it but now I'm having withdrawal damn things I feel more alert without it and the pain is the same so going to tough it out!xx

:hysterical: I'm so sorry but I had to laugh.

This is just another example of us not giving ourselves a break. As my son would say as soon as you are a god let me know, other than that you are only a GIT (god in training) and allowed to make mistakes.

Take care :ATT637464:

Oh Natalie - so sad! And then the dog ate your lunch too! Hope he/she enjoyed it!
