Hey Natalie, just noticed you were on line so thought I would pop by and tell you I have been thinking about you. Sorry you are still in the waiting mode. Just take it easy - no need for any major activity. How are those pain meds working for you? Better I hope?

Aw thanks Jaycey that is lovely of you xxx

No better I'm afraid i hate saying that as I was sure upping them again would help but it hasn't but I am learning to just get on with it xxx

Natalie,

I am so sorry that you are in so much pain! If you would just come to my town and visit the darned ER that I was in, they like to push pills at you to get you out of their hair!:rolleyespink:

Seriously though, I hope the pain meds will start kicking in, so you can have some relief. As I understand it, SC is very painful and since you have pieces breaking off it has to be agonizing!

Take care, and know that there are a lot of us praying for you!:friends:

I've stayed in bed all day and I've slept for most of it I feel totally exhausted still :( I'm battling with the damn pain and constipation together!!

Oh poor you Natalie x I used a couple of different otc remedies; syrup of figs and one the kids had when they were little a clear syrup but can't remember the name. Both were fine for me (not together though )
Is it the pain that's keeping you in bed? I hope you can get it under control today. Maybe you need a rethink on the pain meds and start again? Might be worth looking at them with fresh eyes Xx

Oh Natalie that's brilliant news! I bet you are thrilled! I've still got 2 weeks til the consultation, I wish they could bring that forward too Xx

Natalie,

I am very excited to hear that you surgery got moved to sooner. The sooner the surgery the sooner you will start to feel better, fingers crossed and prayers goingyour way.

Hi Natalie, do you know what's happening while your under? Is there any word they will operate or is it for the aspiration? What are you hoping for? Xx

Hi Natalie

I am so glad your surgery is sooner rather than later.

I don't know what else to say except to tell you a little story.

A number of years ago I had this whopper of a nightmare and it upset me so I kept waking up from it but when I fell asleep again there it was again. Finally as dawn approached it got horribly bad. Just as I started to wake up I had this epiphany , as clear as if someone was whispering in my ear and it said Everything will be OK.

I have remembered that message? many times when things got bad and it helped. So I hope this will help you too.

They are doing the aspiration and a scope to clear out the disease and maybe open it up if there is too much and an EUA to see how much the knee is moving to determine if anything is wrong with the implant so it's all a bit up in the air of how much they will need to do and what recovery will be.They also said if its obviously infected they may do something to help that too!!
