@sandyx7 Well, I see today is the day! I'm reading your full thread on the day of your surgery so I'm a little late to wish you the best as you prepare for your surgery. I think your post will move to the post-operative side soon so I'll look for you there.

Just wanted to say, like a lot of people here, your story line sounds so familiar! I was first diagnosed with spinal stenosis before anyone detected my hip problems. I saw so many spinal surgeons who freely gave me the 'gloom and doom' story and the only way to 'fix' the problem was through surgery. I find most surgeons to suffer a severe case of "tunnel syndrome" where they focus on one area only and not the whole person. I've had back issues all my life so when I say many surgeons, I mean a life time of improper diagnosis. I never let any surgeon touch my back.

Anyway, fast forward, once I had my hips fixed, my back issues pretty much became a non-issue. I did have something else done but I'll save that for another time. I'll be anxious to see how you feel after a few months down the road after recovery.

See you on the other side!

Cheers!

I'm visualizing you getting all comfy on pain meds in your hospital bed and getting some much needed rest AND relief that the surgery is behind you. Hugs Sandy! :friends:

I hope that by now you are resting comfortably on the other side and that all went well. :yahoo: I'll look in to see how you are doing tomorrow. Hugs.

Good luck and rest up!
