I feel very confident staying home alone. I can get in and out of the shower alone. I can walk around the house. I can stand ti make a lunch or tea. I have a basket on my walker to transport things. It makes me feel a little more independent and the walking is exercise every time i get up. He has a cell. I can call him. He's only 10 minutes away working. My pain level is almost zero. Doing the exercises really helps to get more range of motion. You will find relief very quickly

Yaay for the successful abduction exercise! I couldn't do that for about 3 weeks.
Color me jealous of your quilting skills. I absolutely love quilts and see many examples I would like to own. I'm not sure I'm suited to the task, but would like to give it a try.
I hope today is a great day for you. :)

Im not a quilter yet. I can sew well. .but sitting is what i eat to learn next. Each day is better than yesterday @DeepBreath . I'm walking more with my cane today. Did a couple loads of laundry. .husband is getting over whelmed. He went to work yesterday and today. So I'm home alone. I need clean nightgown because that's all I've worn since coming home. Lol

Dang, Girl! You're doing great! LOL about the nightgown. I hear that. You get to the point where you're like, "Uh...yeah...I have to change out of these jammies".
Keep up the great work. :)

I told my friend i did a loaf of laundry for my nightgown and was sitting nude waiting till it got dry. She thought i better put something on. that would be the time i would get company. .lol. i really had on my housecoat. but alas ....no company came today. My washing machine is on the main floor. .but i have a step down to go to it. Its in my front entrance.

Got my staples out yesterday. All 43 of them. Man i feel better. I also went in the car with hubby to Wal-Mart. He pushed me around in the wheelchair while i pointed which way to go. Lol. Had a good time but i caused my achy leg tosend me to bed early with ice pack.

Merry Christmas @lillibet123 great news about the cane! Sounds like you're progressing nicely! I had a good laugh Re the nightgowns, sounds comfy. It's great to have the staples out. I hope you enjoy today!

I'm glad you liked my story @3rd Dislocation . I'm trying ti keep some humor during this time. Almost forgetting to take pain killers today. This is going much better than i expected. Can't wait to see surgeon on jan28.

Wow that is speaking volumes, almost forgetting pain meds, what a beautiful healing gift. Do make sure to take the pain meds, so it doesn't catch you unaware.

No. Im past that part. .it just aches some now. .ive not taken the dilauted for two days now..only Tylenol

:santaclap: Yaay about the staples being gone and your incision feeling better. Also, great news about the shopping and using your cane. :snowman:

I hope this feeling keeps getting better. I hope there isn't a down period after coming this far. I'm still not doing much. Resting it. We are having our xmas dinner tomorrow. Less action going on. I think it's the golden paste that is helping me.

The itching ...please make it stop. I put oil on it many times a day. And i massage the area. it's looking awesomem but the itching is driving me crazy. .the nerves are tingling.

Itching usually means that you're healing. My hips still itch at times.

It can also be a reaction to the meds. I was scratching myself like crazy in the hospital.

Three weeks after hip. Pain is coming back. . And my lower back is achy. . I can do my exercises easily. .i went out yesterday. More walking than i do at home. . My side thigh really aches. Really slow walking with the cane. I feel horrible

Im 3 weeks after left hip. I was starting to feel better at 2 weeks. .But now my lower back aches some. And my side of thigh is hurting . I'm doing the exercises in my book. Very easy to do. Im resting alot. Walking in circles around my home with cane now. If I'm not moving i don't have much pain. Its when i move.
