TKR Hopefaith's Ups and Downs of Recovery

@hopefaith, I hope your stress level is a little lower now you have got your results. I'm still thinking about you daily, please take care of yourself, because us bonesmarties care about you.

Hi HF, Sounds like you have less anxiety today. Great news.
Just stopped by to see how you are doing & see if you had a word for today.
How about Hope or Faith. With your faith you know that God never gives us more than we can handle.
Sometimes he tests our faith & throws a few curves in the road. Sometimes the road seems endless & impossible to get through. There was a time when I thought there could not possibly be happiness, good & normalcy again.
It takes time. Whether it is a knee a divorce a death or any one of a thousand tragedies there is Hope if you have Faith. There is calm & happiness & great things again. It will come.

I have just read through much of your thread here Hopefaith, and just want to add a thought and wishes for easier times ahead for you. Sometimes in life things just pile up, and you wonder how many more 'bumps' can come your way. Stay strong, and keep posting here - this is a loooong and sometimes very lonely recovery at times, it is so important to have contact with people who understand. You sound like you are a stronger person than you maybe believe yourself - trust that while you are getting dealt a hard hand, it is not anything you cannot handle. You will come out the other side, stronger and better than before in many ways. My recovery has been easy compared to many others I think, but much of that is due to the support at home I have had - I don't know how I would have coped going through so much emotional and physical upheaval at the same time. Hang in there!!

Just popping by to say a quick hello and sending my love as usual. Blessings Bernie xx

Good morning and good afternoon across the pond. Just wanted to let you know I think of you often and am so thankful to each of you. I am doing somewhat better than 6 days ago. It is a slow process. I have been having more knee pain also. Because of circumstances I haven't been able to ice and elevate properly during the day.
Several of you have said I am stronger than perhaps I realize. I will ponder that. Grief has it's own time table and , just like a recovery from a TKR it takes time and each person is different.
I am falling asleep, so more later.

Good Morning @hopefaith,
It sounds like you have been on the biggest roller coaster ride with this recovery and life! Glad to hear that your heart is holding on strong,

Has your ex partner left the home yet? I am sorry I don't know for sure, I have been so busy and out of touch with the people to care about here. I know you have been very apprehensive to go this alone. I could be like weeks late with my comment...

My son in Boulder had been over in the UK for several weeks working in the Cambridge university library on some old rare document t, but he is happy to be back and close to the flat irons!

I am traveling this upcoming week, kind of nervous that the knee will take it all I stride! It really has been pretty good lately.

@Tamsmom where are you traveling? Wow! My knee isn't anywhere close to doing anything like that!
So your son lives in Boulder? Yeah, the flatirons are beautiful and unique.

@madinana I so appreciate it. I have had a significant melt down today. So much has piled up at once, it is unbelievable. So, thank you so much.

Went again this morning, felt great!
Spent the weekend getting swelling, and pain down, and am much more comfortable.
I hope you have some better days this week.
