Sending you big hugs and lots of prayers. Will be waiting impatiently for Hermans coming out party! So happy you will be out of the horrible pain you've been experiencing. Recovery should be easy peasy compared to what you're going through now. Hugs!

Agree with this.. You've got this.. Keeping you in my Prayers for a speedy and uneventful recovery..

Thinking of you and hoping all goes well so you can get home and enjoy that view xox

I'm alive and on The Other Side with Herman! Oh what a wonderful experience so far. This is one top notch hospital...and it only has 50 beds. My legs are still numb, but I'm already in my room. I'll have more to share a little later, but I'm so happy to be on the road to recovery :) :) Thanks All y'all for your support:cheers:

Well done my friend. You are on your way!

Here's your reading list to refer to through this journey:
First are the BoneSmart mantras ....
- rest, elevate, ice and take your pain meds by the clock
- if it hurts, don't do it and don't allow anyone - especially a physiotherapist - to do it to you
- if your leg swells more or gets stiffer in the 24 hours after doing it, don't do it again
- if you won't die if it's not done, don't do it
- never stand when you can sit, never sit when you can lie down, never stay awake when you can go to sleep!
- be active as much as you need to be but not more than is necessary, meaning so much that you end up being in pain, exhausted or desperate to sit down or lay down!

That is great news! Ohhhh! The places you'll go with that shiny new hip!
That's terrific about the facility being so nice and caring.. that makes for a nice stay.
rest and ice! That's your job now. :ice:

You kid, you!.....or are you kidding? And good food? Are you hungry? Stay ahead of the pain....remember, ICE! You don't need to be the STAR....you just need to be HOME!! xxoo
