THR GeeDee's recovery diary

Happy Three Month Anniversary!
If my calculations are right, this may be the week you’re returning to work. If so, I hope you’re able to rest once home at the end of the day, not doing much else. I know you were anxious given the fast pace and physical demands of your job, your eight hour days and early return. Don’t forget ice and rest if you’re feeling the effect of your long days on the job. I wish the best for you!
@GeeDee

Thanks for your well wishes, unfortunately as of now I am still not able to return to work, I have tried so hard to get my hip ready and prepared for my 8 hr days, but I am far from being ready or pain free , I still have a problem with my gait thanks to my LLD and have lots of stiffness and soreness preforming everyday tasks, PT can’t figure it out my abductor muscles just don’t want to cooperate with my new hip and it just stays tense and rigid for the most part, I just don’t feel stable enough to return at this time , I am however hoping to have this sorted out in 3-4 weeks time with more exercises and stretching, I will also now have to look into a shoe lift of some sort to balance me out so I don’t develop back pain, or make my left hip any worse.
Definitely not where I had hoped to be at 12 weeks, it’s a little discouraging to still feel so disabled, but I do understand it can be a longer recovery for some and I need to practice patience. I am by no means anxious to get back to work and if I could I would give it a few more months, but I’m not left with much of a choice, so I must just continue with one heel toe in front of the other for now I’ll keep you posted on my return date ....

@Jaycey , I believe if I had a proper note and FAF submitted they would, but I am the only income earner and will probably not be able to afford it much longer, I will need to go back into my 40 hr work week ASAP! I was hoping to already be back, but it seems like I was doing really well and now I am regressing, not sure what is going on, now I am also experiencing severe knee issues on the same leg, which I have never had an issue with, possibly again due to the LLD?

Stopping by to say :hi: Hi and wish you a Happy Four Month Anniversary!
With any luck you’ve noticed progress since you last posted and things are looking up for you. :fingersx: Please let us know how you’re doing and whether you’ve returned to work. If you have, I hope you’re handling it comfortably.
Wishing you a peaceful, relaxing weekend and hope to hear from you soon.:) :-) (:

Thank you for checking in, I have not yet returned to work, but I do feel like I am finally turning a corner OS put me on Celebrex and that has helped with a lot of the inflammation and I am now able to touch my toes, which is such a big deal to me! I went to out local shoe repair and had a 1 cm lift for the LLD put onto a sneaker (hardly noticeable) and it seems to really balance me out and has lessened my back pain , the goal is to be back to work within the next few weeks, unfortunately my husband passed away in January so I am taking a bit of time to myself to grieve his loss and try to figure out life on my own at this point it is not looking like I will be able to have my left hip done anytime soon which is so discouraging but I hope to have that maybe figured out in a years time when my life doesn’t seem so out of control.....

@GeeDee I'm so sorry for your loss, and my thoughts and prayers will be with you. :prayer:
