THR Early Birthday

And you did! We were all quite concerned until we saw your first post-op post......what a relief it was to see! And the best thing is that your followers will always be here for you!!! :yes!:

Yo billy
Hope you're resting comfortably and your pain is well managed.
Get that ice working for you :ice:
By the time you're reading this, surgery will be in the rear view. You can finally take a breath.
Sweet relief!

Hmmmm, nothing from @59billy yet, where are you.....maybe swapping stories with his post-op nurses by now! It seems to be getting harder tracking everyone's surgery. We need a thread called the Bonesmart Recovery Room!!!

Here I am in my hospital room.

Surgery was delayed a bit; apparently the OS was late getting to the hospital. The other patients included a girl of maybe ten years old, so she was first. Then there was an emergency case. So, okay, no argument about priorities here. I lay in a prep room from about 8 to 1 PM. Surgery itself was pretty quick. I awoke feeling clear headed. Being a trained observer, I immediately noticed that I hadn't died and I have exactly two legs. Was kind of hoping for that.

The spinal is just now wearing off; I can feel the pressure cuffs doing their thing and almost wiggle my toes.

Had a decent turkey dinner and put in in my order for extra meat breakfast.

Thanks for all the well wishes!

Yep, you would certainly be labeled a creep for not being tolerant of a delay to emergency for a little child!
Just more time to get the nerves in a wad, I'm sure.
Glad to hear you have two legs, you live, and that your resurrection included a turkey dinner.
Everyone speaks of their hospital meals...Where's the Jell-O?

Very good to hear from you...now your mantra is...All Temporary!
Healing mojo coming your way.

Happy to see you made it through ok and that they're actually feeding you and somewhat decently. Have a good, hopefully pain free night and hoping for a good night's sleep. :ice:

There you are! Sorry you had such a long delay for surgery but glad to hear you still have both of your legs and hopefully everything else :) :-) (: ! Get your rest and listen to the nurses orders! I wonder if they serve birthday cake there! Glad you checked in and hope you do well tonight.

Great to see your post. :yay: Welcome to the bright side!
I'm sorry you had to experience such a delay. How nerve wracking.
I hope your pain is well controlled so you can rest easy tonight.
Wishing you a peaceful night.

I always feel so relieved to confirm (repeatedly in a short time) that I am alive!

Very happy to see you out of surgery. You've had a long day and once the euphoria settles a bit I hope you can get some decent rest tonight. You won't, but I still hope you do :heehee:
