Hey Dinah, Can you send the whambulance over here if you're not gonna use it.. I got big plans for it today!
I feel you 300 % on the lack of control, running out of supplies, and having them replenished w/something you don't really prefer. I hate when my boys cook, and leave a disaster behind for ME to clean up, or fuss about!
I'm like... it wasn't that good.
It's so hard having to rely on others, especially if you're a control food-freak like me. I am totally thankful for the folks who bring me stuff, but sometimes it's not what I would buy if I could GET OUT OF THE HOUSE!
Oh and YES, to go back to square one is getting old quick!
My kids still see me as the carefree, medicinal stupored person, who came home from the hospital w/ minimal pain on Thursday DUE TO THE MEDS! Now that the hospital cocktail
has worn off, I'm in PAIN and I have to ask them to do stuff again.
I'm really not in the mood for another Mid-life Crisis breakdown, so I hope they jump on the help mum band-wagon soon.
I can't wait til I can jump in a grocery store buggy and do my own shopping.
I have a really good friend who goes with me and it's a HILARIOUS experience.
Right now I want some fresh fruit, but it ain't happening. lol Oh well, it's so hard going back to the beginning stagesof pain again, with the stiffness and bone crushing feeling first thing in the morning. Jumping up to run to the restroom in the middle of the night, is no picnic either.
Okay, I'm about done with my vent for today... not really
, but I'm getting sleepy due to my med-head and the Oxy is messing with my typing.
I hope your kids clean up this time and hubby doesn't lose it on them.
He's already upset about the bread machine, so he doesn't need anything else to tick him off. Besides, you're not ready to fly in from the top of the ropes and pin him to the mat Pro-Wrestling style, so he can quit gripping.

Yesterday was a real Indian summer day, so before dinner we went to our local pub, which not far at all, closer than town, and we sat in the beer garden. I managed to get my feet up on a bench, so Kees did not complain. Today is another gorgeous day and hubby has taken daughter and partner to the seaside for a run (oh the athlecticism of the young!)
hubby wanted to take me too, but I am not up to such a trip yet, so I stayed behind, so what did I do? Cleared up all the breakfast things of course..and daughter was coming supposedly to look after me. Then the jelly stand came today, so now 3lbs of damsons and 5lbs of apples are stewing on the stove. I have just sat down, and I am tired. Tonight we are having leftovers! I'm done for today"
Actually, it's my body doing the planning, I'm just along for them ride.
, so I guess I'll call it quits and let the Oxy take me to see "Lucy."
It's hilarious, so check it out. HEY! A girl can dream!

Long story, don't want to rehash not even one SYLLABLE of it!
I'll come back through soon.

I hope sense prevailed and you were able to get the meds you needed in time...you cannot be without post op meds so soon after surgery. Why do they make it so difficult in the US? I just called up my gp surgery, and a 4 week repeat of my take home meds were waiting to be picked up in 48 hours!

but I was tired by the time we got home, and have been tired ever since!
The retirement age for women in this country used to be 60, it has recently gone up to 65, and for younger women such as my daughters it will eventually be 67. None of these changes affect those born before 1950 which includes me. So I feel very lucky. we baby boomers seem to have had the best of it.
They even say I can have a colleague or a union rep to support me? Why would I want that if this was just a supportive chat??
Unbelievable! Well I will be going to see my gp before then and ask for a further sick note, and then as far as I am concerned there will be nothing further to discuss! They can splutter all they like!
