Diane's Knee Quest finally the real deal

@dianehelen I didn't do any excercises prior to the surgery, I totally believe that if exercising has been a part of someone's lifestyle for a while then it will help then with recovery but if that is not the case then going into surgery with additional pain and discomfort is not going to be helpful, my biggest problem after surgery were my abs, they were killing me from lifting my leg on to the bed, my bed is high, that was for about 2 weeks, now I have stronger abs, haha

Just continue with your swimming, that is great exercise, a heck of a lot more than what I did, nothing, zip, nada and here I am, I made it through, I had a few tough days this week, but today I'm back on top.

I'm so excited to read that Josephine said it's OK to bend the knee some, yayyy

By the way I'm so desperate for wine that I licked the screen but couldn't taste it :beg::bawl::tantrum:

I bought a foam wedge like the blue "no-no" wedge, but added two pillows on the top of it to put my legs in the proper (feet higher) position. That wedge works well and is a firm base for the pillows (and around $33 on Amazon). I tried pillows-only after my meniscus surgery and they were too unwieldy for me.

My OS had a picture to demonstrate how he wants our legs elevated and he used his wife as a model. Her legs were just like Josephine recommends.

Not yet, late afternoon tomorrow, I stopped taking narcotics as of last night, just Tylenol 650 mg...I will have wine on my vacation , :martini:

You know, confirmation like that has a price beyond pearls!

This is my favourite tipple but it hardly goes without saying that I don't get to taste it very often! :boohoo:

Great choice Josephine! I usually don't drink very much maybe a glass of wine with a special dinner once in a while. I've been strongly considering picking up a bottle and enjoying a glass after a long day at work. Do you think it will help? Lol

And have a glass for me, please!

DONE! we just got back from watching the sunset on the beach, went thru a 1.5 litre of Santa Margarita Pino Grigio, at least one glass was for you, one for Clara, one for Marian, one for Amy Jo.. Hope I didn't leave a anyone out, if so I still have another bottle back at the house hehe

Hehe clara I can put away mass quantities of wine. I did have help , my husband. And we also had a great variety of cheese, crackers, and Genoa, and sopresatta, from our favorite italian market out here, Mazarros. Ever go there? , that needed the wine to wash it down. That was our dinner on the beach.

No I haven't, are they in St Pete? My husband love to do that instead of a regular meal sometimes!

It sounds like you're having a really good time. I wish I was with you. But, alas, my knee is boss right now and she says, "No, you have to stay home and ice, elevate!". One day I'm going to tell that ole knee to shove it! But, not today!

We are having a pretty good time. But as with all of my life, is limited due to my lack of mobility. A bit frustrating.
