Stopped by to catch up on you, WOW, fantastic news. Good for you. One of my favorite sayings by Anais Nin is "and the day came, when the risk to remain tight in a bud was more painful than the risk it took to blossom" YOU GO GIRL :spin: sounds like you are blossoming big time. Look forward to the details when you are ready to give them to us. Cathy

Hey Cathy, what a lovely way to sum everything up. Thats exactly how I feel, thank you! I always love seeing your profile picture its a great shot of enjoying life.

I'm working my last week on my current job, and will start my new one next Monday. It's a little surreal....last night had dinner with my new boss and his partner, keep in mind it was the first time I met him....puzzled?!?! he offered me the job before we had met, we had been speaking for weeks. I told him this seemed a little like a "Russian Bride Package Deal" we both have enough mutual trade connections to form a good opinion. I'm completely flattered hes a big wig in the trade show buz, I'm much much lower on the totem pole SERIOUSLY! this is what makes the whole new adventure exciting. I found out last night that I will have a trip to Mexico City which thrills me, I know some folks get nervous about that area of the world. Hey I figure if Justin Bieber can go and sing a few weeks back I can go and work one of my new shows YAY!! My new shows are completely different from the beauty industry. Textile, Military and Restaurant (food related)

My hip is fabulous, I'm around 7 months post. I still get a little stiff after sitting for a period of time, then again part of that is age too (hahahaha) I find if I keep on moving all is good.

Miles is GREAT! I'm so glad I have him that was one of the bestest decisions I made pre surgery, my little hip recovery partner :)

Looking forward to watching the Olympic swimming trials tonight Michael Phelps and Ryan Lochte are brilliant to watch!

Sending love to all.

xxooxx

Sarah,
New job sounds like it will be fantastic! Sounds very exciting and interesting. I'm glad everything with the hip is going well. It will really help with the new job to be pretty much pain-free :happydance: Aren't you glad to have Miles as your hip buddy? I know my Coco definitely helped get me through both of my hips. Good luck with the new adventure and fill us in when you can!

Job sounds great! I wouldn't worry about Mexico, it is not like you will be out crawling around by yourself or something. Glad my pic reminds you of enjoying life. Have not kayaked yet, but feel llike I am getting close to trying. The kayaking will be fine I think, just the getting in and out that will be the issue. the picture is inspiration for me to get my life back.

Hope the last week on your job goes smoothly for you. Cathy

Happy 4th of July everyone!

Cathy, Dee, Dororthy and Gizmo and Lisa so good to hear from you it seems soooooo long.

I wrapped up my old job last Friday, it went well lots of good wishes plus my group sent me a beautiful flower arrangement which summed everything up, little sad to leave then again ready for new job. Started "officially" Monday, I had been setting things up for a couple of weeks in evenings. Lots of reading, tons of questions to my new team mates. I invested in a brand new MacBook pro WOW I love!! I'm officially an apple lady, even for work. No more windows for now. Just setting up and sending back old work computer, getting new printer etc is time consuming. my first trip is in couple of weeks to DC to meet with our navy-military show we are managing its our only "managed show" the others are launched from scratch and we own them. Its a rush-high reading and learning and I know it will take a few months to truly settle into a comfort zone.

I'm definitely more active with my new hip.....example last Friday drank margaritas and sat by pool hahahahahaha!! I did swim too, not for fitness reasons for cool down purposes. HEAVEN!!

Dee, my boy Miles is a life-soul saver anyone here with pets will get that comment. I still smile when hes rambunctious now chasing me around play biting and being naughty, thinking back after my surgery he was so gentle and good, smart little things they definitely know when we are not well.

Sending everyone lots of good thoughts, wishes and lots of love!

Hi Cathy,

Nice to hear from you. Hope everything is well for you.

Nothing new to share. Yes busy settling into new job, have a trip Monday to DC, I'm always a believer it takes about 3-6 months to get into a new job routine, really a year for good confidence. Planning for move in October not going crazy just starting to plan out and get ready. Miles is as naughty as ever (laughing) Life is good. Hip excellent I've definitely hit the point where I don't think about having a "Fake" hip which is a blessing.

Love to all...

Happy Labor Day y'all....

My new job is good, it's already been 2 months. Ive done a couple of trips to DC and Atlanta. I was in Atlanta last weekend and found a place to live....move October 4-7. I'm home now selling items and getting ready this long drive. Got a Beauliful new SUV the game plan is to load the SUV up keep front seat open for Miles and drive out there. I sold quite a few things today...bed, dresser, mirror and desk, plus lamps.

My hip is excellent, my last flight I did get a little sore later in the day, nothing major. I still find I am super cautious going down stairs especially when they have no railings. It's almost a year and when I think back to how I was before the surgery I'm amazed!!

Hope everyone is well and staying busy and having fun!

Hey Sarah,

Great to hear from you and get an update... Pleased the new job is going well and it sounds as though the relocation is also progressing.

Will Miles have a yard to play in?

I hear you about selling things, plan to have a garage sale next year, then the next year we retire! Less than 2 years to go...

I relate to still being cautious, but have found the nordic walking is fantastic!

Keep having fun, and update us when you can, give Miles a hug xxxx

Good luck, if you have more to sell :)

Sarah my friend - what a delight to read your update, new job, new hip, new LIFE. Gosh - if only I were younger and single !! :) (can I say that here or will I get booted off?) Good luck with the move and learning to change your accent. As for flying with the hip - I know it's difficult to do on an airplane, but the more that you can move around & stretch, the better it is. Yes it's coming up on a year anniversary for me too - it all seems like a dream.

Stay well my friend.

Sarah, so good to hear from you!! Wow! So much happpening. Seems like you had your hip replaced and ... your whole live took off from there. Glad Miles is going with you. I always get nervous when people are moving and live in apartments. So many apartments don't take pets and it can be difficult to find a place. Sounds like everything is working out! And, even a new SUV! You are livin' large, girl!
