Hi @DallasSarah

Happy Anniversary!! Glad that you are feeling good and doing a 5K -- awesome!!! :dancy:

Hope you have a nice trip home and good to hear that Miles is doing well too.

Take care,
Cardie

Hello 2011 hipster!

Wow time flies quickly! Hope my crew are all doing well, happy and healthy!

My hip is the best! Lots of travel, aventures, working hard and yes still wearing those high heels!

Joined new company. Move to Washington DC last September. Celebrated my 50th birthday on beach in Mexico last November! My puppy boy Miles is happy. Last March went to amazing ski resort in Winterberg Germany, Paris year before. Having hip fix was a new chapter for living and enjoying and not looking back.

Here's a very sassy photo of me this January on work trip in Las Vegas - thinking yes life is good!

Sending love to who I know on here - PS get those hips replaced.

@DallasSarah so great to hear from you! Wow - life after THR is the best. Well done on all your travels and changes. Thanks for stopping by and reminding us that this surgery is a new beginning!

Holy Moly Sarah - you and your new hip look GREAT ! Thanks for the update - your life sounds like things are going wonderfully. Did you hear that Z and I got to meet last summer ? He drove 900 miles to visit us and just "say hello" - we had a good time.

Wow - it's a mini reunion on Sarah's thread. Hello there @Jetlag . Hope all is well with you!

Reunion?!!!! Count me in. :) Hi Sarah.....wonderful to "see" you. I'm shaking my head at the idea of high heels....but secretly, I'm so jealous. I'm still dancing though, and almost halfway through law school. So yeah....life after THR is an amazing gift.

@Jetlag hey, tell that Z to get himself over here occasionally to say hi. 2011 was a stellar year for sure.

Sharon

Hi folks!

It's nice to hear and see how well everyone is doing. I literally just got in from a snow (and ice) run in the mountains. Less than ideal conditions (ice-wise) that I normally might skip but the forecast says the windchill is going to be dangerous the next couple days so I squeezed in a workout and managed to stay off my butt the whole way.

My first hip lasted about 1.5 years before I needed parts swapped out, and I am now at 2 years and two months with the latest and I feel good that the problem has been addressed. I hope to have the bulk of my renovation projects wrapped up before summer (in a cabin we moved into 3 years ago) and then I'll have time to look for my next adventure. I stay busy now volunteering at a local animal shelter which I really enjoy. It's a no-kill shelter and I love helping out and finding the fur-balls new homes. Kevin can confirm that I will talk your ear off about them and for THAT I apologize!!

I've still just got the one fake hip and since having it replaced my other (failing) hip has actually been a lot better!

Be well,

Z

@Z15 So great to see your update John! Well done on your volunteer work. I have also taken on multiple strays this year.

So glad you are doing well.

What a great reunion day this has been! Thanks to everyone who checked in today. This is what BoneSmart is all about! :happydance:

@DallasSarah we have really derailed your thread but so great to see some of the BS alumni checking in. Thanks for initiating this reunion!

@DallasSarah Wow you look terrific!!! So delighted to hear you and Miles are having such a good time!! Yup new hips are the way to go when original equipment wears out :dancy: :yes!: :egypdance:

Hey, Sarah! Love your sassy photo!!! Girl, you're lookin' like a million bucks (have you won that yet in Vegas??) And it sounds like your hip is performing like that for you as well. I love that you came back to chat a bit and brought a few of our "goldie oldies" along with you!

Hello gang! What a lovely response and great to hear updates. How fun you guys got to meet Kevin & Z!

We all need a reunion somewhere warm, sunny with hopefully great martinis or margaritas!

I go to Vegas all the time for work and never venture to casinos, fun place for shows and good dinners.

Glad everyone is well. Will say hello again soon!

xoxo
