Thank you all so much for the well wishes! I appreciate them all. I'm all packed, showered with my hibiclens, sheets changed, took my coumadin and as ready as I can be. I'm trying to keep hydrated since I can't eat or drink after midnight and they changed my surgery to 1:00, I have to arrive at 11:00 a.m. s I'm going to be parched by the time they put the IV in me. It's kind of tough to drink because it hurts a bit to swallow and I'm still a bit worried, my ear still hurts I'm assuming it's the tmj, but I seem to have more post sinus drip than usual (allergies), but I'm imagining they'll double check my ear, throat and temp. to ensure all is good before the surgery. I'm excited to get this done and get to the other side but of course am pretty nervous about what lies ahead. I don't have a tablet just a big ole laptop so I don't know that I'll be back here until I'm home Sunday so I'll try to post as soon as I'm able and up for it. Take care and I'll see you all on the other side :prayer:

Prayers sent @PegGene...See you on the good (other) side!

@PegGene im not sure if they recommend this but I brushed my teeth bf I left my house (spit out and didn't swallow like I normally would) bc I was worried about the dryness in my mouth. My allergies are very bad right now, there must be a lot of something in the air. You can do this, go get em girl!

I hope that all went well PegGene and that the post op drugs have removed all your pains! I did wonder if your sinuses might be an issue but hope that you are now on the road to recovery. I am only 3 weeks out and can't believe how far I have come. Fingers crossed for you Hon. X

hi everyone. My surgery was at 130 friday and all went well. Pain magaged with oxycodone every 4 hours. fyi I learned to request it about20 mins before t times due becauseit took a whilefor nurse toget here. pain so far no higher than2 or3 after actiity.....pt orwalking i thought you all would like to here thaat. im really not too drugged up its just because typing tough, hard to type on hubbys tablet. worst part of the last few days was before the surgery, i couldnt eat or drink after midnifht on thurs and surgerywas 130. i was terribly nauseaus then got a severe headahe and xhills maybe lack of caffeine causes it or contrivuted to it ...i only drink a cup a day. will post more details when home and xan use my laptop. for those who are waiting i can only give you my first 3 dys eperience so fr, but honestly its been so much easier than i wouldve everfelt possible.i am prepared for some ups and downs along the road.

So happy to hear you're on the other side now and seem to be doing well. It's amazing how many of us come out of surgery thinking...Wow...that wasn't so bad! ... It only gets better from here on out. Just take it is ease and follow the BS mantra and you will do fine. Best of luck to you in your recovery phase!

Great news! You are well on your way to a pain free life...jumping, running, stooping and laughing because you're not in pain anymore! Congrats!

I'm so happy to know you've made it through all of this and that you're now in recovery. Hope you're getting some much-needed rest before you get released to go home. Sometimes that's a bit difficult in the hospital. Once you're home and settled, do start a recovery thread for yourself so that you can begin to chronicle your journey. You're doing great so far! Very wise to stay ahead of the pain!!!
