Maybe that it... It "feels" like its buckling but I am not certain it ACTUALLY is... And I have pain today not right in the joint, but the thigh on the outside just above the knee. I iced it often and I am resting it today.

I'm starting to feel pain there too, not bad pain but a soreness. Feels good if I rub it, may try a little heat on it but not on my knee. I'm making sure to take a muscle relaxer too. Who knows, new day new pain lol. I have much less pain in my knee which is a good thing.

I don't have any muscle relaxers but am doing the massage thing. It is a bit better today but still a bit sore. Feels like the two step forward one back game... I'm just glad no tropical storm to deal with!

Thank goodness on the tropical storm - they are hard enough to deal with no complicating health issues. When Ike hit us in 2008, we were without power for 3 weeks as they had to manufacture a part for the power station. :thud:

No tropical storm is a good thing. May be 1 step back but it's the 2 steps forward that counts!!

Feeling achy today, I think the Erika reminants (rain and low pressure) is effecting my RA cause I am generally achy. I had PT yesterday and I did pretty well. Still at 90 degrees so I am hoping to improve that this week... But walking better. Getting cabin fever through...

Uuuugghhh frustrated and feeling helpless cause I can't do anything... I am a photographer (wedding and babies) and own a photo booth. I did not book jobs until November/December to give myself ample recovery time. But my photo booth is still booked and is sort of "leased" in that I have a guy who runs the gigs and I get a percentage as an owner... Anyway, he was at a gig and seems the location was not watertight and one of these Erika spawned storms blew over the stack and damaged some equipment! And I can't even get over to check or see what's going on! I don't know what the heck to do? It's not like I can set it up and fix any issues!! Just frustrated and feeling a bit helpless... I lay here with my elevated, iced knee while my business gets rained on, literally!!

Can someone look at it for you and report back on the damage. It might help you to know if it can be fixed. That really sucks! You don't need that kind of hassle when you are not able to jump to to it.

90 at less than a month is pretty good. I think you'll keep improving. the RA could be making you feel a bit more lousy. I know I was more generally achy than usual in the early weeks after the surgery.

Update... Hubby helped me set up the booth stuff and there is some cosmetic damage but the big thing is the printer. We managed to get it to one of the photographic equipment repair places tonight to see if they can repair... Otherwise it is $500 for a new one. But the computer and camera is OK which is me big bucks...

On the way home we stopped at public grocery and I got a electric cart and managed to do some shopping (with the mans help)! But it felt good to get out and actually DO something! Gave me a bit of confidence. I have PT tomorrow and I am hoping to start going in my pool Wednesday or Thursday ! Feeling more confident!

Wow Christeen that all sounds awesome!! Glad you got out for a little while, it sure does feel good, doesn't it? Just a little slice of normalcy. I so wish I had a pool, water therapy sounds great. We do have a YMCA...maybe it's worth looking into. Great news about the photo booth. Is it one that is kinda auto operated, you know you put the money in and you get like 4 pictures done?

No, it has an attendant and fits like 10 people, is a tower that you assemble with a curtain and a touchscreen and you print out strips with "props". I usually "man" it and I do a package of ceremony and formal photography at weddings and do a lot of bar mitzvah and sweet 16 and quinceniera stuff... But I have it booked out now any pay an attendant... It's heavy equip and difficult to load/unload so it will be many months till I can do solo gigs again...

But yes, it felt great to get out and accomplish something!

I'm glad your damage is minimal, and I hope the printer can be fixed.

Day started out great, a good friend came to visit and brought me a gyro ... Then I had PT and was doing some (what seemed like simple) quad strengthening and I think I strained my groin muscle. When I walk (or lift it) I have a sharp pain right in the leg socket (groin area). It is not MAJOR pain (I guess compared to knee replacement), but definitely uncomfortable. So now I have ice on that too :ice:!! Lol. I will take it easy and rest for tonight and tomorrow and hope it gets better. Two forward, one back!! But always forward I guess...

It's still too early in your recovery for any strength training. Quad tightening is enough for now.
I hope the sore area starts to feel better soon.

Yup Celle@ learned that one.... I iced it and am chillin today. It feel better. I don't think i did any major pull but enough to reign me in a bit. So I will that today to rest it and put ice the hoo-ha zone.... Lol

Had a bonesmart day... Rested, iced, elevated....... Bored (lol) I think the cabin fever is really kicking in hard core!

Had a great PT day... Because of the groin thing we did not do anything to aggravate and PT wants me to back off strengthening and concentrate on stretching the joint. We were doing some movement stuff (kick and bend) and I suddenly felt looser (like a release) and I got 10 degrees of flex. So I am at 101... So we did some gait, some stretching and worked on flex... My extension is now at 0 as well. So a good day so far.

Your ROM is great for less than a month out. You did less and got more, hope your PT is paying attention to what works. You can concentrate on strengthening in a few months when your knee is healed and ready for more.
