Hi Sue,
Great news that your GP is supportive and also your dentist.
Good idea to have your fu jab while you were there. I will have mine on Saturday morning.
Even better news that you don't have stitches to be removed.
Good news that your knee is not suffering from the resting.
Enjoy luxuriating in the shower. The simple things bring so much pleasure. I am looking forward to being able to have a bath.
Take care, hugs Toothfairy x :console2:

Ooh how lovely. :)
I haven't heard anything yet but it could take up to 2 weeks for an accurate diagnosis.
I'm not very good to be honest, very tired and feel very swollen in my leg and abdomen, I'm a bit wheezy and have heart palpitations and headaches too. It's nice to be at home but sometimes you think the security of hospital would be almost good. If they gave me a single room and an air mattress I could decamp! I've come down with a cold today too. Moan moan.... :scary:

Hi Sue,
I'm so sorry but have only just managed to read through your thread :sorry: Oh my goodness, words fail me. Sending you a massive virtual hug as that's all I can do! Waiting so long for the official results must be awful but it sounds like you have a good team of people trying to support you, including family. Typically, to add insult to injury you have come down with the GREAT BRITISH COLD :gaah: Sincerely hope with a lot of rest you start to feel a bit better & more able to cope with the 'Bum Deal' you appear to have been given...

Sue, I just dropped by to say HI and I didn't except this. A big hug coming your way. Rest a lot and please go slow and do keep us informed on how you are doing. Thinking of you, Please take care, Tashia

Hi Sue. Glad to see you posting again. I'm not surprised youre tired all the time. You've been thru so much. Yes I agree with you there's no sense to way hospital facilities are designed. Must be a man in charge. I'm not sure what's happening to Bonesmart at the moment. There seems rot be glitches everywhere. I have to log on every time I come on which I've never had to do before and sometimes my posts just disappear never to be seen again. Hope you have a peaceful weekend and begin to feel a little stronger. Huts x

Oh Sue, a thousand hugs to you and would be at your door with chicken soup if I could. Please know that we are all here for you. Hope you are able to rest comfortably, and thanks fo keeping us posted.

Hugs, Dorothy

Sue, I am speechless to say the least. I had Cancer before my knees and hip got replaced and being tired is very normal. Mind was in my thoriad. If there is anything I can do please let me know. I will understand if you don't. Rest, stay postive, and if you feel like crying, do. this is scary. Take a moment at a time. Any time you need something or just log on. We will be there. I will watch your log closely. Take care and remember you can make it. There are lot of Cancer surviors out there. Lots of Love. Tashia:SUNsmile:

Hello, it's not good news I'm afraid. It's low grade follicular lymphoma. I suspect advanced, as they hope to give me steroids on Monday to try to reduce the swelling in the leg and they will probably take a bone marrow sample on Thursday. We'll be called for a family meeting on 21st. Low grade isn't curable.
Sue.

Sue just read your post and am lost for words. How much more can you take. I hoped the steroids take some of the swelling away. I always thought they did the opposite. I know you will want to be surrounded by family and friends at the moment but if you ever want a visit please let me know. I could come and keep you company and put the world to rights. Sending you my warmest hugs. So so sorry for your bad news Sue. X x

Sue, We are here to give you support whenever you need it. This is truff, buy I would like to share what the doctors said about mine. She not going to make it. That was in 2006 so remember this is just a opion. Sending lots of hugs and many prayers coming your ways. Take care. Tashia

Hi Sue,
Not an easy time for you and your family .
I hope the steroids will make you more comfortable.
Hopefully once they get the bone marrow sample and have all the results they will be able to discuss the plan for your treatment.
It may not be curable but hopefully there is a lot they can do to manage it.
Take it easy and one step at a time. Your bonesmart family are here holding your hand.
Hugs and healing thoughts,
Toothfairy xxxx :console2:

Sue,
Sending healing thoughts and prayers, hope the steroids help the inflammation.

Thank you that is so kind of everyone.

My knee is really painfully protesting now despite resting it virtually all the time. I'm hoping the steriods will help it. In a way I'm glad I'd already had the knee replaced, I don't think I'd have either wanted to have it done with this diagnosis or been able to have it done.

Sue.

Sue, I love your attitude. You are so right about the knee. I know things are feeling overwhelmed right now but do remember we are around you holding hands and sending all the strength we can give. Take care and do remember we care. Tashia

Oh Sue looks like that Covent Garden meet is well and truly on the back burner. Your posts are always so matter of fact. I keep wanting to sit you down in front of me and say `talk'. You know that Peter Sarstead song `Oh where do you go to my lovely, when you're alone in your bed, what are the thoughts that surround you.......'.

I don't know if there is any truth in it, but they say that sometimes its easier to talk to a relative stranger. You want to protect your family, whereas you can tell it how it is to someone once removed. Any time Sue, any time. xxx Carol

Hi Sue, sorry to hear your knee is so painful.
Wise words from Carol patient 99.
We are all here when you need us.
Happy Sunday, hugs Toothfairy x  :friends:

Do you know my dear, you have read my thoughts. I was just thinking, where can I say how I feel, my granddaughters have been round with some pictures they have drawn for me, and I had my big smile, the elder knows a bit about what is happening and she's the one I'm closest to. Today I hurt all over. I had a brief spell after the night.....walk to the bathroom with a leg and foot that look normalish but by the time I'm back in the bedroom they have started to swell. The operated node bit is all swollen and tender and I feel Ill all over. To boot, knee 2 is calling....what about me?? I have some ideas for ways forward, a friend suggested we write in French and she asks our tutor to correct it, I've started a new book, I'm trying to tackle paperwork tidying up and I've found a knitting project that you sub to and it's sent out to knit a fancy blanket in squares.
You're very perceptive Carol and a great support. Thank you. :console2:

I am crying. So very sorry, but I have not given up hope. It is so awful that you have the complications of TKR recovery to go along with all of this.. AS IF!

You know I thought about how we bond on here all over the world and some of us are up in age, and something could happen to one of us and we wouldn't even know, or be able to do anything. We couldn't even reach them if they don't log on.

I agree that it is much easier to talk to Bonesmarties about my recovery/struggles now. I have decided just today not to go into detail with anyone outside my family (and even they're getting the abridged version) who hasn't had KRS. Now you have yet something else to deal with. Sue I admire your spirit and honestly. Whatever you want to share, we're here to listen.

Guys, I think we should set up a "Skype for Sue" account where Carol and I can do stand-up "sit-down" comedy to cheer you up, and we can all eat Chocolate at Midnight!

I am praying wholeheartedly for the best possible outcome for you Sue.

RaQia
