Dear Sue, wishing you a very happy Christmas.
I hope your scan goes well tomorrow. You are so brave and such an inspiration.
I hope you managed to see and hear your beautiful Grandaughter open the concert,
Gentle Christmas hugs,
Love Toothfairy x :ereindeer::santa::xmas-tree::xmas-merry:

The concert opening was lovely, we left after our granddaughter had sung.
The scan went fine but have no results yet, hoping they will be ready for my 3 weekly meeting on Monday.
I joined the ODIC....scan Christmas Eve, Christmas Day at our son's house, only for 3 1\2 hours and Boxing Day at ours for 4 hours with all our children and grandchildren, well worth it though to see everyone.
Really tired today.
My new knee doesn't seem to like chemo at all. I may know more when I have the scan results.
Thank you for the messages some on other threads, chemo brain and lack of stamina mean I don't post much but I think of you all.
:snows:
P.S. For those in the States we don't have snow here yet, we have high winds and terrible floods in some parts of the country.....our island seems to be sinking!

Here we get good international news coverage..... I have been concerned about the flooding where you UK people are,:scare: ice storms in eastern Canada,:tantrum: freezing in California and Florida, :scratch:and tornados:yikes:.... I think there were even fires down under! The weather really sucks!:headbang: We didn't get snow for Christmas:whistle:... rain took care of that so, I will be happy with the next couple days of mild (40 deg. F) and sunny:SUNsmile:.... and hope for no earthquakes! :beg:
Peace and happiness be yours in the New Year! :cheers2: Take care.... :friends:

Sue , How are you doing? All of soon you were on my mind so I would like to say Happy New Year and I hope and prayed that your Christmas was the best. Mine was spent quiet but sometimes its like that. I do hope that you are getting your energy back. This whole event really drains you. Please keep us informed on how you are doing and what countries or states are you planning to see in the USA. This country is very big. I was thinking if I had never seen the States what would be the best way. Since you are in England I would start in California if I had lots of energy and if not sure state in the East. If you need some help I know there is a lot of us that have done lots of traveling that could do some subjestions. Rest, Sleep and do pace yourself. You are a strong person and I hope that I get to meet you when you come to my area. Take care and do have a good night sleep, Tashia

Thank you @tashia and @Creeker 13, the stormy weather continues but we've escaped most of it in the NW of UK. World-wide the weather is really turning bizzare. Tashia, I shall have to sit down with a map I think!

I received the results of my CT scan today....it's good news! The tumours are shrinking significantly. Although I will never be cured of this cancer and will need more treatment as time goes on, I'm now hoping to complete this regime....chemo cycle 4 on Thursday then 4 more cycles until the end of March, then I should go onto maintenance therapy of Rituximab infusions every 2 months, for 2 years to give me some remission.

Any New Year Resolutions?

Sue.

Sue, that is fantastic news that the chemo is working, and that you have some remission to look forward to. I know it's rough but so happy for you and your family that it is working.

Dorothy

What wonderful news for the New Year. I am so happy for you and your family. Lee

Hope you and yours have had a wonderful Christmas holiday with lots of family fellowship and sharing of gifts and lots of good food to eat.

I’ll be looking for you at the BoneSmart annual New Year’s Party. It’s been a very eventful year for most of us---and will be a very eventful year coming up for others of us looking forward to surgery in the new year.

Remember to bring food and drink to share---and pictures are always appreciated and loads of fun to share.

SEE YOU AT THE PARTY!!!!!

Sue,
Wonderful news to start the New Year!
Hope to see you at the New Years party here on Bonesmart, no germs, and lots of fun!:cheers2:

Hi Sue, just passing by and wondered how you were getting on? Have you been visiting hotels lately? Have you been out yet as you planned. How's your head ie, are you feeling up, down or middling? Carol

Hello, hey ho! Thanks for all the good wishes.:happydance:
I'm doing OK, sometimes a bit down but mostly up, keeping out of the dung!
Event of the day.....new compression hose; now, no jealousy please. I could have waited and had black but as I only need one hold-up stocking I thought I might look a tad odd so I have fetching "beige." The reason is my operated leg is very swollen, nothing TKR related but I'm guessing the TKR doesn't help, it's the lymph node not working properly, also went for my 3 yearly mammogram in the breast care unit......I have found going anywhere wearing a surgical mask and saying I'm having chemo and have low immunity gets you fast tracked and a single room to wait in.:yay:
The bane of my life remains daily Clexane injections, I've had them for over 3 months now and my stomach is like a lumpy old mattress.
Chemo is OK, but the growth factor injections I have to do to promote stem cell regrowth make me feel quite poorly for a week.
We still go to the same hotel every 3 weeks before my chemo, next time we're going for 2 nights as they have a deal on. Lovely rooms, the last one had an iron spiral staircase up to a small lounge in the turret, just how cool is that! It's a hotel of Jacobean origins, the extra plus bit is it's only 4 miles from home and 4 miles from the hospital....I go at 8.30am for bloods and back for breakfast; but it's like a complete break away.

Well the least you can do is have a nice hotel when you have to do chemo. :)

I think the como is over if I got it right. How are you doing with the weather and just staying warm. Isn't this weather something? Make sure you rest up so when it comes summer you can travel. Take care my friend. Tashia

I'm half way through my regime....4 cycles of chemo done and 4 to go, all being well the last will be at the end of March I think, then I'll have another CT scan to see how things look.
The weather is something else isn't it! We should have kept ducks not hens! Almost no snow though, rain and wind here....I may try for a walk today but I prefer to go out with my Dh and he's taking a day off from caring to meet up for lunch with old colleagues.

Any news @tashia about your hip op?

Sue,
Glad to hear you are half way through your regime, Whew! My nephew raises ducks for 4H, we are in a drought so the poor things only have a childs pool for swimming.
Take it easy, and take good care,

Hi Sue, wonderful news about your shrinking tumours. Great that you have reached the halfway mark with your chemo.
Your hotel break sounds wonderful and just what you need.
Take care and stay dry,
Hugs Toothfairy x
