I have seen on this forum hundreds of new hippys recovering from hip surgery from all different approaches (anterior, posterior, lateral, SuperPath) and certainly I feel like my experience with bilateral via anterior was that after the first week, I needed minimal assistance.
However, I have seen others with anterior struggle more than I did and some with posterior fare quicker.
There are so many factors involved with surgery recovery... individual to each patient.
How one's body reacts to anesthesia, how fast we recoup from blood loss, variances in individual pain levels, functional status prior to surgical intervention...just to name a few.

I think you will find that will do fine with minimal help but it would be great if you can have some help for the first few days to see what issues you may have short-term postop.
