BossK's recovery thread

@BossK, what about it? Don't tell me anything negative because I've been on my Estrogen patch for roughly 100 years and I intend to take it to the grave.:heehee:

Just curious who else had a surgeon who wasn't too sure about it. But from what I've read, you need it to maintain bone density. (My OS is very young, and I was talking about using surgically implanted bio-identical hormone pellets.)

Well, the OB/GYN who performed my hysterectomy 30 years ago felt the same way. Guess what? I have GREAT bone density. :egypdance: Oh, and zero hot flashes; hah!

Hm! Well, a polyp was discovered today, second time, so I may be on the way to a hysterectomy after all!

Oh no, I pray everything's OK and it's nothing bad and just a cyst.

Hmmm, a polyp or an ovarian cyst or a fibroid? Is it a large one? I hope you don't need any major surgery especially this year after all you've already had. But, if you do, it's definitely not the end of the world. In fact, it can be a relief for many women as it was for me. Sending you positive vibes for the best possible outcome!

Thank you, sweet friends. It was a Visible polyp outside the uterus. I had one inside before and it was surgically removed back in 2014. So she removed this one today and sent it off to the lab. She says it's likely there are more, but we'll cross that bridge when we get to it.

My hips are so achy. I can't wait to get fitted for new running/walking shoes.

Oh good, luck witn the uterus. I admit, I'm ready for mine to come out. It's done beautiful work carrying 3 kiddos for me, but the monthly bloodletting is getting old. I hope if you do need the hyster, it's an easy recovery.

Here's hoping you don't need the hys yet, but if you do, check out the Hyster-Sisters support group! Back in the Dinosaur age, I didn't have anything like that, or a computer for that matter, but I sure could've used it! It's Bonesmart for Fem Parts!

No way! I am totally going to get on that site!:)

It's been a while! Started back to school all ready, and as they did not succeed in meeting me to death, I was up and down ladders, decorating my room! That was my only really ouchy day! I sat too long on Friday and was a little stiff getting up, but I'm reaching that point where I've forgotten I have been in recovery from two surgeries! Yay! I still get in the car a little weird, but the end is in sight!
As for the female troubles, I started HRT again, and am feeling a little better, but not overjoyed at the sudden appearance of a zit! I'm almost 50!!

Welcome back to being a teenager!

But, I'd love to get rid of the hot flashes!

Those do seem to be dwindling away. I chose the BioTe pellet implants, and I'm going on week 2 of having it.

Great news and I feel it's worth a zit or two to stay COOL! Stay cool/strong bones rule!

Best news of all that I forgot to post was the polyp was benign!!
