Aww look at that puppy face!!adorable doggie!

Im thinking its a cow femur:scratch:

Sounds like your progressing wonderfully!

I couldnt wait to sit indian style post op with my 1st and I did but took a few months to get the ROM. Get in position to sit indian style and let your leg relax as far as it will go, dont fight it and soon it will be no problem.

Wow - sounds like great progress! So happy for you!

Hint - don't broadcast the bit about the kitchen :secretaea:! No need to get back to that "normal" yet! :th_heehee:

Most certainly a bovine femur!

As for the 'never' past 100 degrees, what about this? :thumb:

Hi Almost.......

I loved your recap of all your wins yesterday..congratulations! It sounds like we all suffer with the sitting too long part, hope with time it will go away.

I'm giggling at the photo of the agile lady, jeeeeezzzzz I couldn't do that in my teens hahahahaha!! Some people are blessed to bel flexible.

Love your puppy photo, wow that is a BONE for sure what type is it...it's huge. Very funny :). Serious chewing time there.

Glad you are doing so well!

Hi everyone,
I haven't posted in awhile but I've been lurking out there. Thought I'd give an update...I'm 8.5 weeks post-op now.

About two weeks ago, we went on vacation to the Caribbean. It was a trip we planned before I had decided on the surgery. I wasn't sure if I would be able to make the long plane flight all the way from California, but we did it! My fiance used his miles to upgrade me to business class, and I would not have been able to do it without that. I took aspirin to anticoagulate myself for the flights on my OS's advice. Once we got there, it was worth it. I found it surprisingly easy to swim the breast stroke! It felt amazing to be able to go in the ocean everyday. Snorkeling was kind of tough--I kicked with one foot, basically.

I went back to work full time last week. I was fine during the day, but wow, I've been wiped out in the evenings. I was ready to spend the weekend in bed, but ended up recovering in terms of energy and went on two long walks yesterday and today--about 3 miles each. My muscles are feeling it!

I'm still quiite annoyed by the LLD. I think it's a little less than 1cm now. Everything just feels so messed up as I adjust--my back, the muscles on the other leg, my trunk. It all feels askew. I just try to continue to tell myself that the adjusting isn't done yet. But I am kind of obsessed with it.

Let's see...I went to a dinner party and got tipsy on Friday. First night out of feeling normal and not aware of "my hip" as the primary thing. Work helps with not being preoccupied with the whole thing too.

Hope you all are doing well!
xo

Great update! So glad you made the trip OK!

Please don't worry about the LLD. These things took time to develop pre-op. We can't expect perfection overnight post op.

Oh! How nice a trip to the Caribbean! I can just imagine the nice warm sun( I need some of that myself)

Yep the adjusting from head to toe can really push your patience but it will come and you wont look back:thumb:
