THR 5 days after second hip.

I hope you're doing well, Tracey and your sleep has regulated. You've likely met with the hand doctor by now. Hopefully it was a productive meeting and you're working toward resolving the issue. If you have time, let us know how your recovery is going. Happy Three Month Anniversary!

Hi guys,
Hope everyone is doing well. It has been almost 6 months for my left hip and almost 8 months for my right hip. I am taking it slow.

I’m doing some stretching. I am able to walk unaided in the house. I’m still using my cane when I am outside. I still have some pain in my lower back and upper back. I am still not able to put my socks and shoes on without it being somewhat of a struggle.

I’m thinking about getting a treadmill and also a step to practice stepping up and down.
Also, I would like to have the treadmill here so I can walk more while watching TV or after dinner and I don’t wanna go out again.

I hope everyone is doing well and just wanted to say thank you your support when I was going through my initial surgeries and for checking in on me.

Take care everyone and have a great weekend .
Tracey

Thanks for the update, @Tra2419. I'm sorry to read you are struggling with back pain. I hope it is just your body adjusting to its new alignment now that both hips have been replaced.

Have you tried seeing a massage therapist? I found massage very helpful after my hip replacement.

Keep us posted.

I had trouble with socks after my right, it took some time but I won eventually.
Have you ever used a treadmill? If not see if you can try one first and see if you're comfortable on it.
