@2@atime, you have been officially added to the July surgery list! You are now officially a July Sparkler!

Welcome to the BoneSmart forum. We’re so pleased that you have joined us here.
We want to share your journey with you so please start a thread of your own in the proper forum.

To start a new thread about your recovery, hover your mouse over "Knee" or "Hip"on the blue line at the top of the page for the drop down menu.

Click on either the "Pre Op" or "Recovery" forum depending where you are in your journey.

On the upper right hand side under the "Joint Replacement Awareness Day" banner, you will see a black rectangle with the words "Post New Thread" in white.

Click on this, enter whatever title you want for your thread, but do try to keep it short and sweet, then tab down to the dialogue box and start typing your post which can be as long as you need for it to be.

By starting your own thread, you and your questions and concerns will receive the attention they deserve.

For additional help, look in the white heading under the blue, click on "Help & Info", then click on "How to Use This Forum". Lots of info there to help you navigate the forum.

We are here to help in any way we can because We Care!

@sbcamp, FYI: It is not necessary to use the "Quote This Message" to reply to a post. This feature should be used only when there is a post or several posts on another topic between your post and the post you want to respond to.

To reply to a post, just scroll down and put your cursor in the dialogue box and start typing.

You can quote a sentence or a section of a post by simply highlighting it and clicking on the "Quote Me" oblong that appears in gray at the end of the highlighted selection. This is frequently a better choice than quoting a whole post.

Please do not be upset by this bit of info---many new members have this very same problem---so you're in very good company---and we're not mad at you---just trying to keep the forum neat and tidy.

Not another new knee, thankfully, but IT Band Release surgery on 9 July. Linda x

I had my left TKR on May 9, 2018 and I did really well with the PT and walking. I am 7 weeks out now and my pain started getting worse when I walk. I'm back to work sitting at a desk for 8 hours. Last weekend my husband and I strolled through the mall on Saturday and then Sunday I did a bunch of weeding in my gardens. Now I'm wondering if that was too much. When I stand up from sitting, and begin walking the pain is so great and my knee is clicking. Is this all normal? I'm getting my 2nd knee replaced in 1 1/2 weeks (July 9) and I'm getting concerned.

6 days and counting for me......July 3rd LTKR. I'm trying not to spend every minute of every day thinking about the surgery. It's hard. Question about anesthesia - I understand, strictly from what I've read online, that getting a spinal is better for pain afterwards. Are you completely asleep with a spinal or in and out? I want no part of being even slightly lucid during the actual surgery.
