20 20 20 4 hours to go oo oo..
I want to be sedated...
Nothing to do, nowhere to go oo oo...
I want to be sedated...

Thanks! Sedation is the way to go. I don't remember a thing and no side effects from anesthesia.

Hi @Shannon k, just read your post;

1. When did you find you started with a cane? I was given 2 canes/sticks to walk with on day 3 post op. I am still using both on day 15.
2. When did u started walking more then to the washroom or to the deck and back? I was in great shape post surgery, so was dissappointed that I could not walk around the block on day 7. To be honest today was the farthest I have been which was approximately 1 km. I am tired after it. I am not pushing myself and I am not setting any major goals. I do know that I am improving slowly every day and I am in a better place than I was last week. This was major surgery that we have had its going to take some time.
3. Haven't pooped. Took 1 stool softener and hasn't worked yet. Don't want to have to rush to toilet since having mobility issues! I did not go for 10 days due to all the medicines and codiene in my system. I got nervous about it. It was painful sitting down for me due to the 10" wound on my posterior but I managed and thankfully I was able to walk there with my sticks.
4. Appetite has been ok. Just no appetite for dinner anyone else finding that? My appetite has improved and again I do think that its related to all the trauma and medication. I am due my dinner now (7pm) but Ive just told my wife I may get something later as I feel bloated since lunch time. You will get there!

How are you feeling now? I hope that things are improving!
