I at 2 weeks postvop was freaking out that I was still on the cane. I am about 5 months post op and I am JUST now starting to feel normal. I am VERY active.
I thought I would never be right...

I have anxiety, I worry over everything but this really was not that bad. I made it SO much worse than it needed to be. I got to the hospital after worrying all night and once they start your I.V and take you back its over before you even know it started.
I remember starting to cry...
Hi Everyone
Haven't been on here for quite sometime.
I am doing great! Its getting to where I sometimes forget about my leg, going up the stairs normally but still having a bit of a struggle have to use the handrail a bit still.
Still feels like my leg is longer but that is getting better too...
@Abbeylayla
I have had a few dogs over the years with splenic tumors and they all did wonderful. I did not do chemo as this was many years ago..one girl was 13 when she was diagnosed and lived another 14 good months and it was hemangiosarcoma. No chemo. So you may get more time than that.

I am at 9 weeks post op on weds and I did not do any physical therapy other than the home health 2 days after surgery and he only showed me exercises I never did them. I am back to work, managing 7 dogs at home and pretty much doing everything I want within reason.
Honestly I think physical...
Totally normal! I remember thinking I wasn't far enough along, 2 more weeks will make a difference. I am at 7 weeks post op and just yesterday can feel my leg feeling more normal than ever.
Patience, it takes as long as it takes :yes!:
I held off feeling better today..just clear discharge from my nose. Throat not sore now..think it's viral as my husband had it first, reading antibiotics won't help viral anyway. I have a followup with her on Tuesday for my hip so I will see here then. But thinking as long as its no worse...
Anyone know anything about getting a sinus infection post surgery My husband had a low grade fever and stuffy head a day or so before me now I have it. Called my general practioner and she called in some antibiotics and was vague about starting them. Said you could wait a day or so and try...
@Poodle3 I accidentally went to look at my dog and forgot and bent to the floor once there i was like Oh God what am I doing?? Slowly used my fingers to push up. I was fine but trying to walk the stairs normally really had me sore the next day.
I have tried that twice and both times got me to...
