Hi everyone,
I'm sorry I've off BoneSmart.org & just about everything related to the computer. During my vertigo incident which I found out is the pseudo-vertigo type. The spinning was inside my head I put a tray that food is served in the rehab hospital on my glasses. Now I have progressive bifocals and after 6 to 8 years am still not really seeing as clearly as I could with them. I couldn't get them fixed until yesterday evening around 7 PM.

I'm doing really good. I was in the Paoli hospital from 3/27/13, 27MAR2013 10:15 AM. I went into the operating room at 11:30 AM & was done at 2:30 PM. I almost begged my OS to save me my femoral head but I guess that's not allowed anymore. So he did the next best thing and took 2 pictures of it. Once I figure out how to post the pictures I will do that. I left Paoli on Saturday the 30th of March at 1:30 PM to go to Spring Mill rehab hospital. I was there for 2 full weeks. I'm glad I went there because I had PT & OT every single day. They didn't try to force me to do the no pain no gain even once.

Since we are in the middle of selling the house I live in near Philadelphia Pa & moving to the new house in the Pocono mountains near Stroudsburg Pa I had my son drive me up here to get better with my wife who had a total knee revision on 3/13/13, 13MAR2013. I'm going to go back to the beginning of this thread because I was sort of out of my mind when I stopped posting here. From the massive change of my mind from chicken to actually doing it to the happiness of doing it to the feeling of my right leg was in a bucket of wet cement to worrying about my wife and how she was doing + my daughter hurting her ankle. :sigh: Also I have narcolepsy & the extra tiredness from an operation made me   .

But once again thank you everyone for helping me out so much.

Oh by the way I only have & use a 10.1 inch mini laptop & trying to see that when I had to look out of my one eye {Couldn't use both with how I mangled them.} made it really hard to see and gave me a headache. The rehab hospital didn't have anyway to help me unless I got taken off site. I couldn't arrange a ride even though I tried & figured I start back up posting once I got them straightened out.

Joeski! :yahoo: So good to hear from you and even better to hear you are doing ok! Sorry about your glasses though, that did put a wrench in everything didn't it? I hope everything settles down for you now and you can go about the business of getting better :dancy:

Yahooooooo! So very happy to hear from you, and to know that you are doing great. I hope your wife and daughter are, too; I know they like having you home :) :)
@everybody party on Joeski 's thread:happydance:

Joeski, so happy to hear you are doing well and look forward to your recovery posts. I didn't get a good night's sleep until I got home into my own bed.
BTW I love your thread title!

Do I ever know what you mean. Lets see if I can do this with a clear head. Temperature taking, Oxygen level measuring, blood sugar level checks, blood pressure checking, incision inspection, swollen foot inspection, pain level # question, pulse, medicine time, something I must be forgetting. But as of right now I can tell in May it's all oh so worth it. To have even legs, no limp, the biggest no bone on bone PAIN nonsense. I still find it hard to believe something so simple as bone on bone can be so devastating. I have been getting good night's of sleep but still have some exhaustion just like in the one link I was given to read.

Oh Joeski.... So great to hear from you... Lots of worried members..

Yes, it is amazing surgery, remove the diseased bone, replace it with a prostheses and bone on bone pain all gone.. I am sorry you have a had a rough trot but hopefully that is all behind you now and yes in another couple of weeks you will be so much better..

Take care :)

Joeski, I was off kayaking for a few days with no wifi so I just learned of your vertigo. How's our new eagle doing now?

All I can say is WOW to another of your great photo's. I'm not that big of an eagle yet but by mid summer I sure hope to be.

Hi Joe, great to hear you are doing well! :happydance: I can identify with not being able to do anything without glasses, I would be really stuck if I damaged them in any way! I even had trouble posting from the hospital on my phone, with my glasses! Just couldn't focus very well at all. Sounds like life is very busy for your family at the moment. I hope you all continue to recover well.

Joeski, glad to see you back and in one piece! That dang vertigo is the pits - hubby had a heck of a time with his lenses when he first switched to the progressives as well. Glad to hear you are doing well and the family unit now seems like they're all together again! I was surprised to hear you were at rehab for 2 weeks, but it sounds like you're able to move around quite well. So, steady as she goes and take your time getting there!

Joeski Hello there! I'm joining the rest of the gang in congratulating you on a sucessful surgery and being home now. Good to know all is well with you.

Well back Joeski!! I kept checking in to see if you came back to us!! Sorry about the vertigo..that is the worse..but I'm so glad your new hip is making you happy and I hope your wife is happy with her knee as well!! Keep us posted! I think of you every time I past an Eagle's nest we are lucky enough to have only a mile from my house!! You'll be soaring soon!
