You want to be sure you have full confidence in the doc and he answers all your questions satisfactorily.
United StatesA good chat with him may clear all this up. Don't lose faith just yet. Wait and see what he says when you have the appointment.
United StatesYep---I would have a "sit-down" with him and ask him questions---write the questions down a ahead of time, and, if possible, take somebody with you---two sets of eyes, ears and another brain to help clarify everything.A good chat with him may clear all this up. Don't lose faith just yet. Wait and see what he says when you have the appointment.
United StatesWe do not have PA's here. Here it is easy to get an appt with the PA, but hard to see the surgeon.
I will call some time next week to get an appointment...it shouldn't be too hard to get one (I hope)...If you cannot get an appt, ask to speak to a PA or Nurse. Tell her you are thinking of canceling surgery, but perhaps you misheard. At best, the doctor will call you ---at worst, at least the nurse will call back.
There's a lot of information to take on board at one consultation and I'm not surprised that some of it could have passed you by. I hope that a second appointment will clarify things for you - and, as others have suggested, it's a great idea to write down your questions and take someone else with you.
Keep it in your purse/handbag, so that it's with you all the time and you can add questions to it as you think of them.I am getting a list of a few questions together...I hope I don't forget to take it with me ;)
United StatesOr put your questions in your phone, then it's always with you.
