Hi
@lalo thats ok as I asked you how your were on my thread, so not a problem with me at all. I am really glad the funny pain has subsided , let's hope it stays away and your knee doesn't get irritated again from walking and stairs climbing. It's also great that you can work from home too where you have more control, and rest when you need to and put your leg up.
It is hard to keep positive sometimes and we all get down in the dumps when we seem to be moving forward then a setback occurs, not helped when you don't know what's causing it or if it was something we did to trigger the pain.
Not long until your appointment so hopefully you will get some answers then.
I had the chiropractor appointment to day and told her about my butt pain getting worse after she deep massaged it, and that standing and walking now is mainly pain free but as soon as I sit it really hurts so I stand again. After analysing what I had been doing since the last appointment, and she felt that my constant standing, due to it hurting when sitting and then being over active, because I feel ok when standing. I have probably caused my muscles to ache because I won't rest in the lying down position every couple of hours, plus the muscles haven't been used properly for months, and also my gait has changed putting different stretches on muscles, than they are used to.
In short !!! I need to take the weight of my legs and back by lying down for a while, even if just 10 mins, so muscles can relax and the back and hips do too. She also thinks it is part of the healing process. She told me not to stretch my piriformis or IT band for a while and just focus on core muscles, which helps back and hips...and knees. I will give it a go.
So maybe you too need to rest lying down every now and again just to relax everything.
