Thank you for thinking about me! Luckily, the flu, or stomach flu, lasted about 2 days overall. Still have a sicky stomach at times, but that's the antibiotics talking.
Got out the house for a bit today and went for a drive with Scott. I've been out 2 weekends in a row! I'm such a jet setter! I'll probably test out driving sometime this week, and that will do a lot towards making me feel better.
Changed my dressing today. My hole is looking really great and much shallower I'm the front area. I'm still on the wound vac/dressing off/on schedule. I see my ID tomorrow and will hopefully have bloodwork drawn to check my levels. I see my OS on Tuesday and I'm going to ask him to go back to the wound vac 100% of the time since it works so well. I still have drainage too, so it's justified. I still have a crevice in the hole, but it's so much better! No pain in it these past few days. I'm feeling so hopeful! I'm using one crutch or my cane most of the time. I've been doing exercises at least once a day and I notice the difference already. Have to get ready for getting out of my kayak! I feel empowered and motivated. I'm hoping it will continue. I will be vigilant as always.
I applied for 3 jobs, just to see if I get any bites. It's pushing it, time-wise, but I figure that the process will take a while and it may be around the time I'm ready to work again. All three are for counseling and one is specifically for kiddos, which is my calling and the one I'm hoping for the most!
And I'm going to work on a quilt this week. It's a memory quilt made from one of my best friend's dad's shirts. I hope it turns out like I'm hoping. I've set, myself a deadline because I've had the material for a long while already. :(
That's all I can think of on my end. Boring, boring, boring as usual. Hope everyone is well!
