@jaydub63: Eloquis for 2 weeks, 2/day, plus walking as much as I can.
@REM: The dizziness is a complain, right? It was fading by morning, so I'm pretty sure it was the anesthesia.
Had a close call once I got home - when I'd climbed the stairs to the top, careful all the way, as soon as I was up, I quickly pivoted on my new hip without thinking to go into the next room. I felt two quick pops in the hip, and stopped to assess what I'd done: no extra pain, nothing felt "off", but I have a feeling I just lucked out in a big way. I've been verrrrrry careful since then.
Still have the hiccups - the OS said is was a side effect of the narcotics, so I have a prescription for it. My wife finds it hilarious, and truthfully, it's not that bad - it only lasts 10 minutes or so most of the time.
The PT gave me several exercises and lots of walking to do, which I'm planning on taking slowly and carefully - so far almost no pain at rest, and just basic muscle soreness when I walk, but my stride is still stiff, not much flow, and the right leg feels slightly uncoordinated. Still, I've got my first session on Friday, so tomorrow if I'm still feeling as good I may push it just a bit - a little more walking, a little more isometric exercise.
Regarding pain, I feel like one of those old war movies: It's quiet. Too quiet.
