THR Tashia's Hip is in Recovery, WOW!

Tashia

Please try and think positive thoughts. the recovery can be a bit longer for some of us than others but in the end you will get there.

A dog is a lovely addition to brighten up your day if you can get one. We have just got a new puppy a yellow labrador and a brother to the black lab Bertha - my avatar.

A lot of additional work but well worth it!

Hay everyone I got my van up and its working a little. I will get it all done hopefull the rest of this week. The good thing is I have a car if I really need it. Good to start getting my wheels. My van also needs a good cleaning because its been sitting so long without any batterie. It was dead it wouldn't even let me take out the CDs. I mean it is dead. Now its at least able to run. Need to get the breaks checked and get the fluids checked. Good to have wheels again. Don't feel so isolated now. Getting closer to be on the road. Now trying to decide when to get a dog. I looked at the calender to see when camp is so I can make a decision on what to do. I still want to get the apartment done and the rug cleaned before i get a pet. My pain is getting better under control so that is good. My feet are still score, now that I have a wheels I can start getting my messages and acupucture going. Thank God. I mean that in every since of the word. I do wish I had my new car to play with but I still have to wait. Things are final getting back in order. Everyone take care and stay safe. :doggieshmooze:Tashia:friends:

Great news, Tashia......it always feels better when things are back in line and working!

Hey Tashia,

So good to hear you have a bunch of great news! The car, thinking about a pet, being ready to go for massage and acupuncture...a lot of positive things in your life right now, reminds me to think positive about moving forward. Have a super day, hon!

Hi Tashia
I am glad you got your van running again. It is great to have ones own wheels to get out. The sun is laughing here today. It looks sooo beautiful after the rain yesterday.
I hope you have a good day today.
Bea

Tashia is on the road again! :happy dance:Well done!

Today was a beautuful day. The sun was shinning and got to be warmed by the sun. In fact got to be warmed by the sun and I noticed the sun took out the swelling on my knees. Also my feet are feeling so much better. Got go on a couple shops which gave me some ideas. Now I have played now get to sewing. Really wonderful with the sun warming me. It was nice to take a nap and wake up without feet hurting. You have no idea on how I was wanting this. I am tender but thats it. To get out of town makes me feel so good. :yes 4:Today I found I have a balance day. :wubroses: Now that I have had one, I know I can have another. Everyone take care and Yes I have wheels. :doggieshmooze:Tashia:friends:

Oh Tashia,

Good for you! I think balance is something we all seek whether in recovery or not. And to think that the warm sunshine was an antidote for the swelling in your knees...sounds like you had a glorius day...many more to you.:yes 4:

I am so glad for you Tasia. Sounds like it was a beauty. There truly is nothing like the healing energy of the sun. So glad it was there for you and that you wholly took it in. ...and hooray on the van. Freedom!!! ...and I have freedom too as I just posted on my thread. I got my driving release, hooray for me too. Have a wonderful wknd Tasia and I hope the balance continues. -Cathy

I went to go somewhere for lunch and my van wouldn't start. I got a ride to lunch but feel a little down. I tought I had gotten it fixed. Well nothing starting from the beginning again. My tummy doesn't feel the best. Had a whole day of no pain in feet. WOW. I could use more of this. :doggieshmooze:tashia:friends:

Oh no, not the van :( let's hope it is something simple. Now I'll be sending healing energy to your van haha. Glad you got rid of the foot pain today. Enjoy the rest of your wknd. -cathy

Vthereandnow my van thanks you for all the good thoughts. To say the least i am getting frustrated with this problem so say the least. I am so tempted to donate it and rent a car for the time until my new car gets here. At least if I rent one if it has a problem the rental company would just give me another. We are having lost of sun this weekend. In fact really warm for April. Then next week we are surpose to have rain again. Did get to start on my quilt so this is good. Hope you have a good weekend. Stay safe and take care. :doggieshmooze:Tashia:friends:

Good for you for starting your quilt. Sometimes the hardest part is getting started and then it sails from there.

Can't remember if you told us you had a date yet for your knee? So happy you had a pain free day with your feet, we'll take as many of those as we can get. Enjoy your sunshine, we're having a pretty big swing of weather, from very warm to possible snow again this week, yuck!

Diane, we are having swing with the weather also. Went sewing last night and had a blast. This panel is really diffucult to do. I was looking at it last night and I now realize what the problem is now to work with it. I also got a number of a dog rescure place and will call it this week. I haven't been given a date yet so the waiting game is on. I hate to wait with operations. Lets get on with it so I can get on with recovery. I am so tired dealing with the van so I'm about to rid of it and rent a car. I will spend less money on a rental and it will also work so I see a win, win solution. I will have to look into it. Please take care and have a good week. :doggieshmooze:Tashia:friends:

Hi Tashia, I'm just popping in to see how you are doing.

It's a real shame your van is acting up, if Cathys healing vibes don't get it moving again then perhaps it would be best to hire for now then you will feel much better being mobile again.

Good to hear you had a blast at sewing, it's great to meet up with friends and have a great time doing something you love.

I think a dog would be a lovely companion for you just perhaps not at the moment because of you having to get your knee done. Would you have someone who could help out with it while you are recuperating? If you have then I say go for it otherwise it might be best for you to wait. No harm in looking though although I wouldn't dare as I would want to take them all home with me

Take care

Ann.x.

Anniepops, You are so right, if I go and I see a dog that I like , I would bring it home. I to know me. I don't have someone to stay with me to help so thats the problem with getting a dog. The million dollor question would I be able to walk it after the operation? With my other knee I had to and was able because of the dog I had. She was a gift from heaven and knew Mom had a problem so she was able to take walking without any problem. But a new dog I do have my concerns. Also I would have to board her for a while and I don't know how that would work out. My knee is getting so so. For now I'm just thinking. I will know when its right. Take care and stay safe. :doggieshmooze:Tashia:friends:

Today realized that My tummy is unhappy. Now that I know I will be able to deal with it. My new car that won't be here for about a month. My hip and knee replacements can hardly wait. Now I have to see about the van since it doesn't work again. For those who are looking at getting new wheels remember your comfort is very important. I always test drive on days I hurt so I know if its going to hurt driving. Everyone take care and be safe.:doggieshmooze:Tashia:friends:

Hi Tashia

So sorry you are having van troubles as well as that pesky pain in your knee... Do hope you get a date soon...

Look after yourself :)

Sandy, As of yet no date. Patience is needed in both getting my van up and getting a date. So we are in a hold pattern. Keeping busy with keeping pain under control and keeping stomach under control. Did go and get the mail and out for lunch which was very nice. The weather has been great. Need to get things done before surgrey so that the apartment will be all done before operation. My car won't be here until next month, the earlest. I guess I being tested for patience and I guess I'm ok. Working a lot on sewing. Trying to get it all set up so everything will be in order. Still thinking about a pet but until I have a date for surgrey its hard to know what to do. I want to be with the new member long enough to know that when i board them, they will know that I'm not leaving them. Got camp coming up in May. Trying to keep busy but have to admit I get bored easy. Have a good week and take care and stay safe. :doggieshmooze:Tashia:friends:

Hang in there Tasia. Hard to keep your balance when you have so many things on your mind and patience? Why do you think they call it a virtue? Haha. We all deed an extra dose of it sometimes that is for sure. Guess my healing energy to your van :( test drive on days you hurt? Good idea, never thought of that. Thoughts coming your way for a good day -Cathy
