THR Tashia's Hip is in Recovery, WOW!

Boy did I just get a surprise. My tummy has gotten better and now that I am out of real bad pain as far as they are concered. I got a surprise when I was cleaning up my apartment my hip really gave me a pain. So I have to ask has part of my trouble has also been my hip replacement? I think the fact that I have been more active my hip is saying  Moving boxes and all the cleaning is hurting me. I do remember reading the more active you become the part that was replaced will get tender and score. So I am so glad for the Library for all the information that it has to help us in our moment of pain. Thanks for all the advisors. You Are Great!:doggieshmooze:Tashia:loll:

Moving boxes and lifting heavy items can present some problems when you're trying to heal. You must listen to your body and if something hurts....it's not time to do it yet. I'm sure glad to hear your tummy is better, Tashia.

Jamie, I do undersand and will back off and take a easy. Thank you so much for reminding me. Hope all is well where you live. Please take care.:doggieshmooze:Tashia:loll:

Jamie, I am having my posting being dropped by a whole three days. Tashia

I'm sorry, Tashia. We have had system problems during that time and had to restore from older backups than planned. When that happens, unfortunately the posts in between are lost. It's nothing you've done.

Jamie, I'm sure this is very hard on you and the staff. I do know you are doing the best you can. Thanks. Hats off to the staff and you. :doggieshmooze:tashia:loll:

Hi Tashia,

I know, it is so hard when the site is down, hopefully they have it fixed now. I was able to read your long post about the frustrating visit to the doctor. I am so glad you got some meds that seem to be helping, let' hope they continue to do the trick and get your tummy healed once and for all. Even though it took so long I'm glad he finally listened to you. It is so frustrating when they don't and like you said you don't want to have to keep going to the ER. If he doesn't listen to you again in the future maybe a new doctor is in order?

I went to bed tonight for the first time with no pain meds and am doing OK, just can't sleep because my nose is plugged up...hope you are sleeping well.

diane, I found that the post you are talking has been lost so I guess you where the only one who read it. I did find if frustrating so thank you for reading it. I'm so glad you are sleeping without meds. I looking for that day to happen. Have a good night sleep. and do take care and do remember every day puts us one day closer to recover. :doggieshmooze:Tashia:friends:

Hi Tashia,

Read your update on Sandy's thread and glad you are getting settled more in your apartment. Please be careful overdoing it, but I totally understand your wanting to be all done so you can enjoy day to day living without unpacking all the time. It sounds like it has been cathartic for you to go through you items, memories (both sad and happy) and crying, etc. It is not always easy but healing in the end. These health issues certainly have us look at our lives and re-evaluate, refocus and move on with new insights (whether we want to or not LOL).
Take care Tashia and have a good night.

I saw my counselor today (first time since early Oct.) and that always helps me put things in perspective...PT tomorrow and we have almost 80 degree weather! It's more like summer than spring, unheard of in the northeast but we'll take it!

Today started with a surprise and a mess. :hate-shocked::hairpulling: I noticed that there was some water on the toliet lid. I looked up and saw water coming from the ceiling. So I cleaned up the mess but before I did that I called the staff at the apartment and told them to asap to get over here and take care of the water. After gettting everything out of the bathroom. I had just told myself how tired I was and I needed to take a easy. Well so much for that. I took pain bills and waited for the people to show up and take care of the leak. In the meantime my sewing friend came over and we started doing what we could do going around the mess of the workmen doing the ceiling. Nothing got damaged so I got it in time. After working on the apartment we went out for lunch and had a wonderful time. Thank God for friends I really needed help today. Tonight my knees are really hurting. I mean big time and so far my hip seems ok.:cry4: My tummy is doing so much better.:yahoo: I think my tummy has been so bad I didn't have any idea my left knee had so bad. My hip that was done has been hurting a little. I do know I really overdid it today with the water leak but what do you do but clean up the mess. We have been having so much rain we do have some streams that are overflowing. Most of it is near my old house. Thank goodness I don't have to worry about it. we did have good weather today so we got to dry out. Tomarrow we are surpose to get some rain again. I should be ok. I will try to spend tomarrow taking a easy. I really hurt tonight. :sigh: My hip is a little tender but not bad. Getting up in the morning might be interesting because I know I lifted thing that were haven but had to do it. Life is so interesting at times. So everyone do take a easy and please stay safe from the weather. Remember every day you get closer to full recovery. :doggieshmooze:Tashia

"It doesn't rain, but it pours"...boy this saying really hits home for you today, Tashia. Poor you and sorry you had to go through this but looking for the silver lining...good that you found the leak and caught it when you did...please take it easy tomorrow if you can, maybe a day to reflect on how far you have come with unpacking and getting your apartment settled. Happy for you about the tummy issues...hope it continues.

Hi Tashia
Good you caught the leak in time. Otherwise could have been a larger mess.
Just take it easy tomorrow.
We have had lots of rain here too. Today was ok for most of the day. In the afternoon we had a few snowflakes. It's supposed to snow and\or rain the next couple of days. I hear next weekend is supposed to dry out. :yes 4:
I only have to work this and next week and then I am done. I hope this is the last time that I retire. Have tried before but they kept calling me back.
I am looking forward on getting stuff around my place done.
I hope you have a great day tomorrow Tashia.
Take care
Bea

I had a pipe break at the house that I owned and it destroyed the whole inside so I know what you mean. It took a long time to put it back together. Take care and stay safe with the weather as it is. I hope that you are looking forward to retirement. Hope it works this time. :doggieshmooze:Tashia:friends:

hope your new apartment is now good and DRY!

Josephine, Thank you. Yesterday was a interesting day. To think I ran to this apartment because my house had a pipe break and completly destrored the inside and now I have a slight problem here. I am woundering why is this happening to me? Well at least it was just starting so no personal stuff got damaged this time. And I can still live here so this is very good. And I don't have to pay for the damage. This would really be expensive since this is a two story building. Last night I was so sore because I did overdid it trying to get everything out of the way. However good news I finally got to sleep very late because I did overdue it big time. Today I can say I am greatly surprised that I don't hurt, I mean my stomach is is happy and my knees are not hurting. In fact I am not hurting at all right now. :yes 4: Maybe I am getting over the hump with the tummy. I do know i need to continue to keep on it but I believe I am healing. So is my hip. In fact my hip has done so good and sometimes its score but that is expected after all the stuff I have been through. This morning I woke up not feeling tired. I don't know how long that I felt this strong. Last night I was so tired I could hardly believe it. Today is a day of staying low and working on some of my sewing.
I do hope everyone is ok. I do know that lots of weather is causing lot of problem but remember we are a family and we do care about you and so please keep us posted. Everyone please take care, you are worth it. :doggieshmooze:Tashia:yahoo:

Hi Tashia,

You sound like things are getting better all the way around. So happy for you, even though not perfect yet, it is better and you are getting there! Hope you have a great sleep tonight.

dianemarie, thank you and I hope the same for you tonight. I think I am starting to come out of my depression but have to be careful not to fall back into it. Remember every day is one day closer to full recover. :doggieshmooze:Tashia:friends:

Today has been another busy day with fixing up my apartment and getting my sewing room ready. Had another surprise today. I was putting things in one of my closet and the top rack came down. So I have clothes and boxes all over the clothes closet. :arghh:What a mess. But thats the way it goes. The bathroom is not fixed yet so I still have a open ceiling. The apartment workers said it would be fixed Friday. My cloth rack will hopefully be fixed today. Talk about taken one step forward and two steps back. :no2: but that is life. My left knee is a little score and I think a nap in order. Next week we start moving the bed and sewing rooms stuff into the right rooms. Will be very careful. I got a call and my inserts are finally in so I will be picking them up hopefully this week. :yahoo: If things would stop falling apart it would be so much easier but I do have to admit it is keeping me from overdoing it. So it time for :sleepz: so talk to you later.:doggieshmooze:Tashia:loll:

Hi Tashia,

Hoping you have someone to help when you start moving the bed and anything else heavy. You certainly have a lot going on BUT the good news is...your attitude sounds great. Hoping the new inserts help. I can't get mine yet due to nerve issues in my foot.

Did you check out the link Jamie sent you about the bonesmarties club? Have a nice evening.

dianemarie, Yes I check it and it said that you have to be a member at least six months. I joined in November 8th I believe. If so I don't think I have that many months yet but I will remember it. So how long do you have to wait for the inserts? That ruff. I'm really looking forward to getting mine. I do hope they work. Please stay safe and take care of yourself. :doggieshmooze:Tashia:friends:
