dianemarie Boy do I understand about not sleeping at night. You are told after you have surgrey you are to take naps. well i did and I find that I now more active at night then I was before. I too must become a day person again. Of couse if all of us were sleeping we wouldn't be writting to each other and say "Hi". Take care and remember each day puts us closer to full recover.:doggieshmooze:Tashia:friends:

, Good day, We are going to have Daylight saving time kick in Sunday and I have problem with time so it won't be bother by change of time. Feeling better today. My apartment is coming along and coming together. I wish I could wave a wond and all is done. Today was a good day. I think the infection is now under attack with my new meds. I also have had a low pain day. I went to take a nap and found that my nap was a three hours sleep; Really felt good and most important didn't wake up with a real bad tummy pain. :yahoo: In pretty good mood. All the medicane I taken must be doing something now. I found my engery up today. I was really getting weak which was really scary. I think that why i was falling so much because I do not fall so something was up. Well it time to take more pills so my tummy can feel better. Eveyone please take care Mother Nature does do her thing and there isn't one thing we can do except take care and pray for those who were in there way. Remember every day we all are one day closer to full recovery. :wow2::doggieshmooze:Tashia:loll:

My hills are getting the best of me. I wish I could get positive. I have a roof over my head, food in my tummy even though it hurts, and clothes on my back. All the meds I think are getting me down, or the pain. tomarrow is another day.:doggieshmooze:Tashia:arghh:

Hey Tashia,

I know what you mean, I have been feeling a little discouraged lately too. This hip #2 is taking a long time...
I found it helpful the other day to read back through my posts...it was good to see how far I had come. Also, even though we are all taking a lot of meds maybe something for depression might help (short term of course). Just a thought. I can't sleep again tonight so am up puttering around, I figure it's better than just lying there staring at the ceiling.
Sending good thoughts your way. Hang in there honey.

Hi Tashia
Checking in to see how you are doing. See you are in the dumps a bit. Hope you have a better day tomorrow. It's been raining and hail coming down most of the day here. Enough hail that the pasture is all white again.
Didn't get much of a walk in today. Ended up standing under a tree waiting for it to stop.
Well tomorrow is another day.
Take care and sleep well.

Wow I just found out i am a senior. Does that mean I need a cane to get around?:th_heehee:I have been very lucky I haven't needed a cane for quiet sometime however I have one in the car and one in the apartment. Not only that but I found my old pair of crutches while I was cleaning out my closets. i think what going one with me is I am finding lots of pictures of my deceased husband and some good and some very sad feeling are coming to the survise. He has been gone for over 13 years and what I finding is that in some ways I didn't get to feel the horrible loss I had. I was a caregiver for over 9 years and I got so tired I think my mind just closed down and just did what it had to do. Now I finding pictures and now I get to :cry4: I guess its time for it. I guess I am not only cleaning and sorting my sewing room but my life in some hills. For those who don't understand what I call a hill it just life events that come your way. some are very good, some are ok and other are really a challage but you take them on and climb then and then you move onto another hill. One hill is the recovey of my full hip replacement boy is it a hard one to climb and get over but I will make in my time and pace. Its part of life and thats all it is. No dought my tummy is feeling some of this stuff to and saying :hissyfit: Hope to have more of my place done this week. Thank you guys for your post, There are no words to tell you how much they mean to me. Oh Horsey girl I found a little horse statue that I had given my daughter when she was three. Talk about finding stuff. diane I have thought about meds for depression but because I am a cancer survior and have to take a pill for the rest of my life it can't be taken with pills for depression. I have to be real careful with meds. Just another hill in my life. Will be so glad I can sew in my sewing room and have a car so I can get out of staying home. I am not a home staying person and I never have so I knew this operation was going to be a challange. But it was well worth it so we continue. I have found so many neat patterns and fabric so I can hardly wait to get started to make. but I must stay on course and get the apartment done and a new car. Everyone please stay safe because Mother Nature is still doing her thing so everyone please be careful. :doggieshmooze:tahsi:friends:

Hi Tashia, I know exactly what you are talking about. Finding all those old memories (good or bad) is always difficult. But you are doing the right thing - making new plans and moving on. Well done!

Now I graduate. Boy was that fast. Posting helps so much I really wish I had found you before my knee was done but you find things when you are ready. :feedback: If I have a infection in my stomach my hip replacement isn't in danger is it? I found out I was really in pain again today. I should know when I'm down I am hurting. this tummy problem has got to go. tomarrown is the showdown with the doctor. I have so had it. The antiboic is ruff on the stomach (cipro). I do think it helping but it does hurt the tummy cann't win for losing. Did more work on the sewing room feel good about it. I did eat something that didn't agree with me so I won't make that mistake again. Will have a week of rain so I will have to be careful when walking outside. I was going to look at cars but we will see. Oh, I forgot I have to make up a pain class. Well thats enough for now. thank you for the post it does help so much. :doggieshmooze:tashia:loll:

The doctor and I didn't touch base but I will be home most of tommow so hopefully something will be found. out. I have had a big day. Spent most of the day working on the sewing room. tummy work me up last night then I was able to go back to sleep. but woke up with it really hurting. My knees sure hurt and being on then for a while. I would thing that my hip would be the problem instead on my knees. I think part of my problem is I might not be eating enough. the reason I said this is I went out to lunch and had a good meal and my tummy was at peace. Tonight it a little jumpy, so nerves are involve also. Now today Cirpo didn't hurt me to bad today. I have also gotton consipated and I know that doesn't help either. I still need to find out what was in the cat scan. Now that I am settling down I think I could talk to the doctor without being angry. I am very :hairpulling:over this whole thing. I also need to go shopping tomarrow also. Now here something interesting all day while I was busy with the apartment I had no problems what so ever. I still do't like the fact I need pain pills for the tummy. I know I am repeating my self but I get so :hairpulling:when I think of it. I just wish I could learn to spell but i have always had problem oh well. Everyone take care. Remember with Mother Nature having fits please be careful and do take care.:doggieshmooze:Tashia:loll: Getting out of the house it great. :wow2:

Hi Tashia! I've been reading about your journey and I can so empathize with the frustrations! Being in pain is no fun! Since I'm going through a recent knee issue myself, I have found my mind going to a sad place, like you missing your hubby. My mother-in-law and best friend (yes, BOTH!) passed away in October and it's just now that I'm really feeling the loss. I keep thinking about her very difficult last weeks and I miss her so much. (At my last PT session last week, a lady walked in who looked EXACTLY like her from the back and I burst into tears at the sight.) I think it's normal to had these sad moments but things will get better!! :friends: Thk

Sweetcaroling, I/m so sorry for your lost. It so ruff on us who are missing them so much. And to get hit twice, Wow. Go ahead and cry and even if you get mad its ok. Those are normal feeling for such a loss of one little along two. Please take care of yourself espically since you are dealing with the loses. If you in Mother Nature way Remember stay safe. :doggieshmooze:Tashia::rolleyespink:

Tashia,
So sorry you are having some tough days:( between the stomach issues and " hip" emotions, it's totally understandable that you have some down times. Keep focusing on the good--sewing room, hip feels better, weather will be turning nice......my thoughts are with you:)

Thanks Dee205. You are so right, when you are hurting it is hard to focus on the good things. right now its raining and my joints are hurting. We need the rain so that is good. I went to a sewing meeting tonight and the speaker was great. And gave everyone a free patter. Of course now I must make one. Please stay safe and don't let Mother Nature get in your way. Take care.:doggieshmooze:Tashia:loll:

Hi Tashia

I hope you don't mind me butting in on your thread. I have read a lot of your posts, and you seem to be a very kind and thoughtful person.

I was wondering what kind of sewing you do? I used to sew a lot, but not so much now. My mother was a wonderful needlewoman. She could make a tailored coat or jacket, and she was very good at design.

I know you've said you make quilts. Are they "standard" patchwork, or do you do all this fancy stuff, like Log Cabin work?

Please make sure you get all the answers and advice you need regarding your stomach problems. You - and all of us! - have enough to cope with, dealing with our rubbishy hips and knees.

All the best.

Glynis

glynis, You can any time here and post. It good to hear from a sewer. I started doing out doing rag qult then moved on to whatever I see and want to do it. I really don't know what to call what kind of quilts I make. Log cabins are so fun to make and so are so many others. I have been making them for about 2004 and still going. Very seldom do I make the same pattern. There are so many out there and so interesting. I use to sew cloths but now I do quilts and enjoy it greatly.

My tummy is doing much better now that the meds are kicking in and helping. Also my pain is better tonight. I found out some of the problem but still have more doctor app. to go. Do take care and stay safe.

Hi Tashia,

So happy, you sound so much better and at least finding out what the tummy problem is must be some relief. Thanks for your post on my thread, yes the pain is less, just a little pain yesterday after PT, I go again today and will tell her about it and take it easy. I know I have to go to PT to get stronger but my body likes to go very slowly and they don't always understand that.

Have a great day, getting settled more? Hope so, then you can be on to your quilting.

Hoping you had a good day. I couldn't get on this site for a few hours tonight and I freaked out! I think they were having some problems with it, don't know what I would do without it.
Hope tummy, knees and all are well. Nighty, night.

dianemarie, I also had problem and almost freaked out too. I wanted to cry but I didn't want to get my tummy going. This family is so great I don't know what I would do without it. Being very sad would be one of the feeling. Now that we are back take care and take care of yourself. :doggieshmooze::friends:
