Hi Tashia,

Glad to hear all is healing well from your fall and hopefully you will get some answers soon about your tummy problems. Do you have a lot more to unpack? Hopefully getting some done will help you feel more at home in your apartment. It feels good when we feel better and can get things in place. Are you taking anything at all for tummy issues? Take care.

Dianemarie, The doctor has given me two meds and pain pills. Somehow I don't feel this is the answer. It will help for right now but I do know that getting settled and my car workng will help so much. Today I got upset about something that shouldn't get me upset but because I don't feel good I get upset easy. My tummy is now on the war path and I am waiting for the pain pills to kick in. I do have tapes to listen to but I will have to find them. I also found out that a storm is coming in and that sure get to the joints. I decided to do one box a day as i said before and it does make me feel good. I also lost lots of weight over three years. I didn't diet I just watch what I ate and because I hurt so bad I didn't get up and snack as much as I did. Now I am getting more active so I am close to maintaing. In fact I ordered some new cloths today because I need to get rid of the big cloths. Everyone take care and as every day goes you are one day closer to full recover. :doggieshmooze:Tashia:flowerysmile:

Hi Tashia,
Couldn't sleep so here I am again. You have a wonderful plan to do a box a day...it will get done before you know it. It is OK to get upset, we all do, especially with all you have been through and are going through now. Are your tapes relaxation tapes? Makes me think I should listen to some soothing music more. Good for you for the weight loss and ordering some new clothes. Anything that can brighten our days a little can help. I see my OS on Thursday but may switch to Friday as the weather Thurs. isn't too good a report. Tomorrow is a big day for me...my 1 year anniversary of my 1st THR. I am going to post an update, hopefully after I can get some sleep. Glad we met on here and became friends...hope you're feeling better soon. Nitey nite.

dianemarie Let me the first one wish you happy birthday. I'm not there yet and it must be great. Hope you have a real special day. :doggieshmooze:tashia:cheers:

Now that my stomach is calming down I don't seem to need as many pain pills. Maybe the problem was wrong shoes, inserts and tummy problems. I sure hope so I would like to get to full recovery someday, soon would be better than later. Everyone take care. :doggieshmooze:Tashia:yay:

Glad you can cut down on pain meds. I know what you mean about sooner rather than later but I just try and go with the flow. I live in New York, Tashia, and we have had a mild winter, hardly any snow but supposed to get a little tomorrow.

I hope you had a good day. Mine was ok. Why I asked about New York is many years ago, My husband and I lived in Albany for a while. The winter were horrible. and cold. However I loved the four seasons and do miss them so. Every area in the world has the plus and minus. I do have to confess I miss the moving around. I really enjoyed it, the only minus was getting a good doctor and keeping him. Noww that I'm older I do need to think about that. Good news, Today I was able to bend my toe that I thought could be broken so I must of been wrong about the injury. I still haven't worn anything put slippers so later this week I will try wearing shoes for a short time and see what happens. Everyone take care and remember every day we get closer to recovery. :doggieshmooze:tashia:flowerysmile:

Hi Tashia
I am glad that you are getting better. Your positive attitude really helps, I am sure. I hope you sleep well tonight and tomorrow will be another day closer to recovery.
I do enjoy the four seasons myself, that is why I live in the Northwest. I have lived in California some years ago, but missed the rain and snow and the beautiful Fall days.
Take care Tashia

Tashia, glad that tummy is calming down. One box a day - great plan!

My left hip is starting to hurt many days after the fall. My tummy is better but my knees are really hurting today, could be the storm. I did unpack more than a box last night. Once I got started I keep on going. this is my nature and its very hard to change it. I would so much like to get away just to have a different change of climate and to know that I can travel again. Getting very bored and no dought depressed with all the meds I need. I wish I could get my care back up or get a new one but doing by myself I find it difficult. As each day go bys you are getting closer to full recover. :doggieshmooze:Tashia:loll:

Hi Tashia,

Love the line you put at the end of each of your posts about being one day closer to full recovery...thanks for doing that, it's encouraging. Sorry you have pain and hoping you can get it sorted out soon. I am a total homebody so not too discouraged with staying in a lot this winter but do sometimes get bored with every day being the same with the recovery. Don't be missing the winter too much...one day of cold and snow and you would probably want to be out of it! Take care.

dianemarerie, You are no dought right on about the snow. Right now just 30 minutes from they are having snow. After the road clears I might try to go and see it. It still does have its beauty. Where I grew up in Colorado the snow would be up to the roof of the house. As a kid it was great however I didn't have to :snowplough:we just played in it. I know my body couldn't take the cold little alone the:snowplough: Take care and remember as each day pass you are one day closer to full recovery. :doggieshmooze:Tashia:friends:

LOVE the smilies, they are so cute. You are right...some of the snow has a wonderful, quiet beauty...we just get way too much cold and way too many gray days. My recovery feels like it is at a standstill, hopefully soon I'll turn another corner for the better. Hope you sleep well tonight, Tashia.

dianemarie, I look at a standstill as my body needs to rest before taking another great leap toward full recover. However when it happens it is trying. Have a good night sleep. Tomarrow will put one day closer to recovery. Take care. :doggieshmooze:Tashia:friends:

Hi Tashia,
Hope you are having a good day. I slept for 6 hrs. straight and it felt great. Great insight on the standstill, really hoping that is how it goes. See my OS tomorrow and always look forward to that (and getting out) and maybe will run an errand or two. Our snow didn't last, rain today.
Happy to hear you say that once your unpacked a box you kept going, that's the way to do it. All the best.

danemarie, Isn't great just to get out. I got out today to go to a pain class. The class talked about sleeping. Boy sleep for 6 hours that is so GREAT. i got almost all of my quilting stuff for the solders unpacked. Really felt good. Hope to get more selves this weekend so I can get this all done. Then comes the car. I get so confused with that. One minute I know what i want and the next well I could get this car fixed. Cars are so expensive, eventhou I don't buy them often I still have trouble putting out all that money. I hope and pray that you have another long night sleep. Remember as each day goes by you are one day closer to full recover. :doggieshmooze:tashia:friends:

Hi Tashia,
That is great that you are excited about your quilt making...what an awesome hobby and how it helps and touches others must make you feel so good. I know what you mean about the car thing, I never look forward to doing that alone, thank goodness we don't have to do it too often but I do wish you all the wisdom you need to get just the right one for you.

How are the pain classes? Are they helpful and are you learning a lot?

I stupidly moved a piece of furniture today and now my leg is a little sore and I am afraid to go to sleep thinking I might wake up in pain...hoping I won't and I won't do that again for a long time. Sometimes I just don't know what I am thinking, maybe trying to think I am young again and don't have 2 new hips...thank goodness for the forum and kind people like you to listen...Hoping you sleep well also, talk soon.

dianemarie,I hope you are ok. I did something that was "I should of know better, also" When I was cleaning out my garage I lifted boxes after boxes, then to top it let my pain meds wear off and then lifted myself into a rental moving truck. Boy did I pay for that day. We started at ten in the morning to thee in the afternoon. Thank goodness I didn't fall or tear something. After getting home I cried for I don't know how long because I cried myself to sleep. I live alone and the old saying if I don't do it, who will? One thing I have decover is our bodies are very strong but when you puss it pass its limit it does give you notice. I am about to get ready to take my sewing room on and I tried to make peace with my body that i will be kind to it. I do have someone to help me but I know I will try to help. Now the trick will be not to much. Please take care and enjoy your outing. :doggieshmooze:tashia:friends:

Hi Tashia
Have a great day. I hope you won't overdo yourself. Just take it easy and slowly everything will get done. Are you enjoying your new place?
The sun is shining here and I will go for a walk while it is out. Do have a PT appointment this afternoon.
I overdid myself a bit yesterday. Really trying to walk without a cane and walk straight without a limp and all. This morning I woke up with pain. So took a couple of Advils. Will take it easier today.
Tashia, you have a wonderful day and take care.
Bea
