Surgery out of state

Thank you, Deb, Jo and Cardie.

I just had a phone conversation with anesthesiologist from the hospital. He said they do not use those particular chemicals I have problem with. And if I develop a problem, they have means to deal with it. So I just should follow the standard protocol for the surgery.
They use endotracheal tube during GA.
He said the decision to perform GA instead of spinal is based on the facts that GA has less complications when using anterior approach. May be this is true in their hospital, but I have read the opposite on internet, specifically regarding deep vein thrombosis.

Hi Roza. I was told I could choose between spinal and GA but my surgeon told me he would prefer if I did GA for the exact same reasons your surgeon is suggesting it. This may sound silly...but I rather enjoyed GA.
