Thought I would drop by and see how you are doing. Are you back to work yet? If so how are you doing? Take it slow and make sure you rest when you get home. Take care and do keep us informed how you are doing. Tashia

Yesterday was my first day back at work. I only worked a part day, I work as a team coordinator in a government agency library and even though I wasn't overly busy that was more than enough. Brain fog is still obviously a problem, I couldn't remember my login or password had to get my darling IT guys to come and sort it out hahaha. Made a light dinner for hubby and I, and was in bed by 8pm! :)

Almost 5 months post op and life has got in the way of keeping up with posting to all you wonderful fellow hippies.

I was doing really well. I went back to work after 12 weeks with no problems other than tiredness. I walk my wee dog everyday whether she wants to go or not haha!

I thought the real test of how good the new hip had settled would be the trip I took to Sydney a couple of weeks ago to spend the last week of the school holidays with my two grandsons. Hip stood up to the trip really well, climbing in and out of the back of a small two door car to fasten seat belts is a real test!

Now I am back on my cane, popping panadol and ibuprofen and icing, the reason... 45 minutes of ZUMBA on Tuesday lunchtime at work. Hip is aching and I have a lump that feels like a tennis ball in my bum. I know it is all muscular and it will settle down but it is SO FRUSTRATING!!

So be warned dear friends, ZUMBA is deterious to your hip's health haha. I think I will give it a miss until I have had my 12 month check and just keep to my gentle yoga stretches and walking.
