Hi Everyone - I hit the four week mark today and it has been an interesting week. I have to say at the 3 week mark I felt better than I do today, but I think it is a factor of pushing myself too much. I did start physio a week and a half ago and they are very much in the camp of going slow and not pushing it, but I think I got a little cocky with how well I was moving and maybe did too much. Yesterday my right thigh and groin and right buttock were so tight and painful and I couldn't walk very far and if I did, it was with great pain and limping. I think the muscles which haven't seen the light of day for many years are waking up!! So today I took to the couch and pretty much did the couch potato thing! I also have gone back to doing the stairs step by step instead of foot over foot which I was doing most of last week. I feel less tight tonight, but still quite sore and limpy. My biggest fear is how to get rid of this limp that seems more pronounced now than prior to the surgery. I feel like I need to stretch and get myself even, but not sure how much of this soreness is due to the stretches and exercises and if I should back off or keep moving. I keep telling myself patience!! I have been reading everyone's journeys for knowledge and inspiration and I know that I'm still early into mine but some days feel like one step forward, two steps back! Take care everyone!
