THR Second one - hope it's better than the first

Beautiful photo of you, Bev. So nice to see your smiling face.
And how precious is that little sweetheart!

Thanks for updating, it all sounds good.
You're moving forward, making progress and were given a realistic timeline to work with.
All sounds hopeful to me. Stop by and update when you have time. You may be an inspiration to many who also feel their progress has been a little slower. You'll get there, I just know it. :yes:
Hugs to you :friends:
@Bevlah

@Bevlah - I'm so glad you're working with someone now that says it's a matter of when, not if and isn't dismissing better ROM out of hand. I thought of you when I had my first consult with new surgeon on tendon release. He told me the butt and thigh would be swollen for a couple of weeks after the procedure and I asked if that meant I got a KK butt for awhile. He looked a bit confused at first and then said that it might resemble that but that, surprisingly, no one had ever asked him to do the other side to have a matching pair.

Keep at it and things will get better!

@Layla @Mojo333 such kind words and a very inspirational pair you are! Xxx @SurreyGirl my fellow Brit, I have been watching your progress and see how much better you are my lovely and it's heart warming X @SaraK ha ha ha the kk butt!! That took me back!! Didn't get it this time, funny that eh? Love to you all XXX

Thanks Bevlah! I overdid the pool walking so tewinging today but sore muscles rather than damage.

Hey Bev, :hi:
Missing you around here. Wondering how you're doing?
Hoping all is well. I'll bet the lil Prince is growing quickly.
Leave us an update when you have time. I see you have some anniversary dates coming up this week.
Fourteen months for Righty and seven months for Lefty. I hope both are serving you well.
Sending love and a hug :loveshwr: :friends: Hope to hear from you soon!
@Bevlah

Hi @Layla and @SurreyGirl all is well thank you! Quietly getting on with life and my new hips. Still restricted movement but I am working on it! Walking alot better but I do get tired very easily. Not back to 10000 steps a day yet but glad it's all behind me and just have muscle strengthening to do now! Still check on on this site to see how you are all doing though. Love you you both x

Hi Bev,
It's good to read you're doing well. I hope you slowly continue to see an improvement in ROM.
Mine isn't what it was pre-OA, but close enough that I'll take it. I just heard something on tv the other day but have yet to look into it. It was that a target of 7500 steps per day may meet the needs we're all striving for at 10,000. Who knows? :shrug: Like I mentioned, I haven't googled any info on it...yet.
It was nice to hear from you. Thanks for updating. :loveshwr:
Happy Spring! :flwrysmile:
@Bevlah

Hello @Bevlah ! My sister, who tends to throw odd little snippets of information my way (she had her hip done nearly a year ago) told me that some Japanese guy came up with the 10000 steps a day as the ideal goal. It was quite random and had no scientific or medical research behind it. She might be quite wrong but nothing surprises me these days.

Hi @Bevlah! Glad it is coming together. It is quite frustrating to see some who sail through these recoveries faster than we do but we all get there in the end.

My ROM is pretty good but I really need to concentrate on losing weight now and finding it very hard. I Try to walk for at least 30 mins a day at lunchtimes and swim too but it is not enough. Maybe I need to sew up my mouth!

Glad you are getting on with life and look forward to you dropping in on here from time to time x

:wave:my double hippy pal!
Almost there months out for righty.
I've thought of you often.
Hope you are hanging in there...
I know you will roll your eyes at me, but still early days ...:roseshwr:
You have had such a year!:good-bad:

Hope spring is springing where you are!

Three Months plus One Year for Righty, lol :heehee:
Mojo didn't have enough Java in her yet when she glanced at your signature this morning.
How have you been doing over the past month since we last heard from you sweet, Bev?
Is it Spring in your area yet?
Wishing you a lovely week! :SUNsmile:
@Bevlah

Oh my stars:blush:
Big time senior moment...
Time flies when you are having fun.:sigh:

@Mojo333 @Layla hello lovely ladies, great to hear from you both. Well I plod on.....literally the way I walk now! Glad it's all behind me now and onwards with stretching etc. My private physio signed me off! How rude!!!!! Think she got fed up with my lack of progress!!!! I do the exercises religiously but there is so much muscle damage and atrophy it's going to be a long rehab journey. Am now going to physio at a university where they train physios, alot cheaper! They do some back work too, which still hurts after my falls. spring still eludes us but I can smell it in the air! My grandson is growing up but I don't see much of him. The ex girlfriend doesn't really want me around because she is not with my son anymore. When I do see him it's like a supervised visit as she has to be there, so I don't really get quality time. But I am blessed as he is such a sweet sweet boy and I am in for the long game as she may come round one day and leave him with me to spoil him rotten!!! I have just been promoted to branch manager (I work in rental) so life has its ups and downs but is good. I hope you are both well? You have been an amazing support as well as others on this site to which I will always be grateful x sending hugs your way xxxx photo of when I last saw oscar 4 weeks ago and look at his face, he does love his nana even though he has no clue who I am!!!

What a cutie (and the fireplace ain’t bad either) well done with the work promotion. I got signed off by my private physio too but will go back re my knee if I need too.

Still stuttering steps when I first get up and some stiffness but getting better.

Looking forward to the warmer weather now. Can’t come soon enough!

Hope things are well with you.

That baby is oh so adorable.:)
My brain doesn't multitask well anymore.
:sigh:

Aww, look at precious lil Oscar. So very sweet.
I'm sorry for the circumstances you're dealing with but if you're persistent in scheduling visits with the little guy, hopefully the two of you will bond and his mommy will see how devoted you are. I wish you all the best in an unfavorable situation.

It's always fun to fix up, or get something new in our home. At least I think so. You'll have to show us the finished product once your fireplace is done.

Thanks for the kind words re: BoneSmart and thanks for all of your support and contributions here, Bev. It's appreciated. Congrats on your promotion at work!

I'm glad you're hanging in there with Physio and exercise to strengthen atrophied muscles. You have a great attitude.
Hugs back at you :friends: Enjoy Spring when it finally arrives!
@Bevlah

Ha ha ha before and after on the fireplace! Below is before. Very pleased with my partner for sorting it. Thanks for the kind words as always x

It's beautiful, Bev.
I like your tile and paint selections. You did a nice job. It looks so much more updated, modern. Cozy, homey and colorful too with the pretty tulips and urn.
Thanks for sharing. I hope you have a lovely week!
