@Kim22 @scottfamilyman I have read all your posts. . I'm at 8.5 weeks with groin pain as well. PT days it would most likely resolve in time with light stretching buy PA says it won't unless injected. She would not inject before three months post op. I see OS Thursday to get his take on things. So far this pain is way worse after surgery than before which has me quite depressed. I ice many hours a day. It's for sure the muscles or tendons that lift leg into car, move leg sideways or onto bed etc. It's so very frustrating. :(

@donor Sorry that you are having groin pain which is no fun and very frustrating if the pain is worse than it was before surgery.I would wait and see what advice you get from your OS.One thing is for sure I wouldn't rush into having an injection as it may resolve given time and if it doesn't you can then schedule one.

Hi @Kim22 , I'm actually doing alot better. :) Thank you for asking! I only do very very light stretching once every other day. This is all I need because I go for walks every day. I still have a little bit of stinging and tightness in the groin area but everyday gets better. I just read somewhere here on Bonesmart where their OS told them not to ice. I thought that was NUTS. I ice every chance I get and it works. ONE DAY AT A TIME! :) I hope your doing better aswell? Well take care, Scott

@scottfamilyman You are a BoneSmart poster boy! Well done on your approach to this recovery. Another example that patience and the mantras work!

Hi Scott so glad that you are seeing improvement and that you have found the right balance of activity for you.I am ok and better than I was a few weeks back but I don't think that I will see any real improvement until I get my second new hip.Take care and keep us up to date.

Hi, I just want to say to everybody who is going through the recovery process, PLEASE PLEASE do not over do it! I've had set back after setback and it has been the hardest thing to deal with. I now can see the light at the end of the tunnel. DO NOT let your PT over work you! That was one of my mistakes. Ice, light stretching and walking seems to be the best. Of course everyone is different. 10 months out now from LTHR and just starting to feel better. I've always been so active with hiking and camping. It's felt like I've been locked up and the keys been thrown away. I didn't have patience at the beginning but I have learned. Well enough said! Don't give up, I never did! :) Stay the course! You know your own body. Go with it! I wish you all a healthy prosperous recovery! :)

Well said that man. I agree we all have a voice so use it.

@scottfamilyman i couldn't agree more. I'm only 10 weeks out but have already figured out if i push too much too soon i pay for it. I was active before too. So I'm finding the balance between too much and not enough. Lack of movement can hurt too. Sounds like there is a point...a ways off...where we do feel normal again. Best wishes!
