Looks like you had a blast! Way to keep on healing while lowering stress at the same time! I have never been on a cruise but we have talked about it. I love water and waves, even went out in the ocean with my cane (and my husband and 10 year old grandson) a few months before my surgery. We were out in water a little over waist deep floating up with the waves that came by. I only lost my balance once but in the 30 seconds it took me to get up the cane was gone. My husband looked for it for quite a while but no luck. It was a cheap one I didn’t like anyway. I took that one because I figured it might rust. We laughed about someone finding the cane and thinking there had been a terrible crime….with the idea that someone’s first thought would NOT be that it had been lost by a walking impaired person playing in the water…

Funny event
Yea in this day and age we expect anything to happen

If you ever get to cruise you’ll love it. We started with a short 3 day. And when you figure in your food and entertainment being included, it’s quite a value

Hubby and I are hooked on cruising

Happy Three Month Anniversary, RockyBones!
Cheers to many more cruises in your future. :cheers:
I hope your weekend is all you want it to be.
@RockyBones

Thank you Layla. Got my Alaskan cruise booked for 2025. Here’s to hoping I have a normal knee by then

So looking forward to it

I eat, sleep and dream Alaska. Not to mention binge watching YouTubers about Alaskan cruises.

So obsessed right now.

Oh that sounds wonderful. I have a few friends and relatives who do cruises and I am so in the market for a vacation after I recover from this. The last few years my vacations have been pretty much doing something for my mom, my husband’s aunt, or his brother or sister (he’s one of 7 and has 2 that are not very capable.). We did go on a weekend to Galveston with the daughter and family, but a lot of what we did came with a lot of pain even with limited walking. I will enjoy it much more the next time when I can walk!

I feel ya on enjoying it more when you can walk.

I’m 14 weeks out now. PT had released me and quite honestly, I went into the no exercise zone Not good. There are days I walk more thinking this will compensate; and days I do nothing

The results? I feel my quads tightening and a little painful at times. Knee tightness maybe a little worse. So a couple of days ago, I went back to bends and stretched, taken it easy until I can make up for the progress I may have lost

I’m hearing reports that a lot of people feel much better after six months So I’m hoping for that. Hoping the tightness has gone away. That’s my major discomfort.

But unfortunately my knee feels tighter than ever!
