:alarm::bored:, I was pretty nervous prior to my revision, you are going to get so tired you will fall asleep one way or another. Breathing, puzzles, books (boring ones), and the games room here on Bonesmart help pass the time.
Here is a link to the games room: https://bonesmart.org/forum/view/games-room.12/
It is not stupid o clock here, it is afternoon o clock, at least there is always someone here.

I've changed your thread title for you.

I had mine done at the Golden Jubilee in Glasgow. I imagine the "emergency" prescription was a bad choice of words - they just wanted to make sure you had the Hibiscrub before the GP surgery shut for the weekend! I'm so sorry that you're having to go through all this again, when you'd have every reason to expect by now that knee trouble was a thing of the past. But at least they're doing their best to make things better for you and I'm sure this time will make it right. Good luck for tomorrow and I look forward to hearing from you on the "other side".

So not a whiner. You put us true whiners to shame. You've been brave for a long, long time, and now it finally gets to start getting better.

Will keep all of my crossables crossed that this surgery will be the beginning of the end of the last three years of pain and instability. You have been courageous, and are being courageous to face this again, and deserve the most successful outcome possible.

Well.. this is it . Woke up at 4 am in time to eat a banana before the 4.30 cut off time, and will be jumping (lol @ the idea of jumping anywhere!) into the shower in a few minutes for the final scrub down and get my hair washed.
Ice packs are in the freezer, and kindle is loaded with Mills & Boons type 'no brain needed' distractions. I'm half way through knitting an Arran sweater, and it's been sitting in the bag for about two years, waiting for me to finish it, so that's been dug out as a project for me too. I reckon that even if I get half a dozen rows done per day , it'll be finished in plenty of time for Christmas
My daughter is picking me up at 6.15 for my check-in time of 7.30, and my theatre slot time is 10.30. Not too long to wait.

See you all on the other side !

Sending positive thoughts your way, you should be all done and dusted before I am up on Monday.

Good news when i woke up from the anaesthetic. after having said that the xrays indicated that a replacement spacer wouldnt be any improvement, and that a total revision was my only option, my surgeon decided to give it a go once he had the incision made. He has put a 2 mm thicker one in, and says that the joint now feels solid as a rock! Who would have thought that such a small amount would make such a difference.
I shouldnt be here as long now, and wont be off work nearly as long. Does anyone have any idea of the average recovery time for this? I do realise that everyone is different.:egypdance:
