THR Racer Keith - recovery

Wow - almost to my 1 year anniversary and I was reminded because I saw on facebook that an acquaintance's sister was getting a LTHR today.

What a year - back to work 2 weeks post-op and have been back to normal (pre-OA) for about the last 4 months. I still get some very mild pain when I overdo it but it goes away within 48 hours. I have been working on my father's house and jumped out of the back of the truck without thinking about it and my hip was sore for a few days after. Immediately after jumping I remembered..."I shouldn't be jumping out of a truck with a hip replacement".

Racing season is in full swing and its so fun to be able to be on my feet and walk endlessly for an entire weekend (usually 4 days). My 17 year old son is now racing and he keeps me busy with his #6 car.

Good luck to all future hippies...wish I would have done mine sooner.
Keith
