THR Pain developed after 14 months<

Hi @Sunnysept
Good to see you on the forum but hate to see you are struggling and still dealing with hip issues.
Your consult seemed very detailed for being remote....and it sounds like there's a plan in place.
Sending good mojo your way and:fingersx: it will bring you relief.
Stay well, friend.

Bit of an update, it it’s all so difficult without actually being able to be physically examined by a consultant because of all this semi lockdown etc.
I’ve had an mri and a ct.They both thrown up a range of things, but not yet spoken with the consultant about them.
I would like some suggestions as to what I should ask him on the phone consult tomorrow though if anyone has any insight...
MRI - one of the acetabular screws raises medial cortex by 7mm
CT - medial acetabular & anterior column cortex perforated, filled by metal cup which protrudes by approx 3mm
acetabular screw projects into pelvis by 13mm
atrophy of Iliopsoas muscle belly

The consultant I am speaking to is not the original surgeon. I’m hoping he’s completely objective.

Does anyone have any opinions of what the scans threw up? I would be very grateful for your responses

Hello @Sunnysept
I’m sorry you continue to struggle. I don’t have any suggestions for you, but hope the conversation between you and the consultant tomorrow leads you one step closer to a resolution. Please let us know how it goes.
Wishing you all the best!

I suppose you've already had your phone consultation by now. My suggestion would have been to have the surgeon explain each of the imaging results to you in detail and then offer you options to improve the pain levels. You may have to keep after the surgeon to get to the bottom of your pain, so don't be shy. Let us know how the consult went.
