@Nana2-8,
Yep, was using Aleve a couple times a week to keep my hip/leg pain in check (seemed to work the best for me).
But as of yesterday no more Aleve. They also told me Tylenol was OK - Will probably have to give it a try at some point this week - my body now feels like it was hit by a truck!
(Still amazed at how bad it has got since being scheduled for surgery!)
Best of luck Thursday & we'll see ya in the post-op section! :snork:

OS office called this afternoon & advised that doc said all should be fine for next week!
Uhhh... Happy?
Gunga galunga (Tibetan expression of peaceful dismay). :loll:

I remember every time I realized this was going to happen (a day or so before surgery), my mind would kind of go into blank mode. You'll be back on those ice skates in no time @NAUTIQUE!

Hey @NAUTIQUE! We're having ours done on the same day. Will be good to compare notes ;-). Been looking forward to having my right hip done for a while, albeit nervous at times, but just think about 6 weeks afterwards. Going to be awesome on the other side!

Welp, last day of work today (took tomorrow off to try to wrap up lots of last minute things).
Big family wedding this weekend. My niece is getting married with events from Friday night through Sunday.
Planning on lots of :martini: and then they can just wake me up Monday afternoon when its all over!

Head is spinning & body is killing me!
As much as I want to run the other way, I want this over with even more!

@NAUTIQUE and @MetEish - I'll take this opportunity to wish you both the best of the best in the upcoming days as I may or not be alert enough to speak to you beforehand. Blessings of comfort, peace and wisdom for the team are yours.

Thank you @WendyP648! Wishing you the best for today! We'll all catch up after the foggy brain has cleared a bit [emoji12]

Welp here we go!!! :yikes:
It's THE DAY!
I'm lucky to have an easy morning though. Don't have to be at hospital until noon.
So sipping my allowed (3) 8oz. cups of black coffee & trying to stay calm.
Not too bad so far, I'm pretty much at the point of "knock me out and get this over with!"
Biggest help has been this forum & a couple of hip-replacement facebook pages.
Thanks so much for all the support from you all!!!
Hope to see ya in the post-op forum real soon! :fingersx: :elevate:

Wishing you a successful surgery and an easy and speedy recovery! We will be waiting for you here on the recovery side! If you have time, you can set up your recovery thread now. It makes it much easier letting us know you're doing A-okay. :-)

Good luck!! Will be sending out good thoughts for a good recovery! :)
