Nail polish in the OR

Prior to my TKR, I had a pedicure and I am glad I did because it was a while afterwards before I would have felt comfortable sitting in the spa chair trying to get a pedicure afterwards.

I had no problems whatsoever and would recommend it. It made me feel better when I looked at my pretty toes.

In the pre-op brochure, it said nothing about toes & polish. Surprisingly, it did mention that acrylic fingernails are fine. Not a problem for me, I don't do nail polish. Just piggy polish to cover toes! :biggrin:

The NHS hates nail polish with a vengeance! Looking forward to smartening up my toes post-op, if I can reach them!!!
