TKR MrsHawk

Today I had a break from P.T, so I took advantage to really concentrate on ice
And elevate and rest! I did a few foot slides when I sat at the side of the bed. Tried to raise my legs a little higher.. I feel good and have not needed any extra pain meds... oh yeah! I can see my ankles again.. that swelling has gone down. My feet are returning to normal as well...

My surgery was Oct 12th, I'm not home yet. I went to post acute care after two days in the hospital. I could not successfully go to the bathroom by myself. I can now, hopefully I'll go home this week. Sleeping at night is a struggle to find a comfortable position. I often add pillows, take away pillows and start over again.... I'm really not sleeping straight, more napping thru out the 24 hours.

@MrsHawk - you will see that I have moved most of your post from gerilari's thread to your own thread. She had her knee replacements back in March, so she is well on the way to recovery.

Do try not to post about your own recovery in someone else's thread, unless it is to support that other person.
Forum etiquette: being polite when posting

Please post any updates or questions about your recovery in this thread, which is your own recovery thread. We will see them there, as someone checks all the new posts every day.
If you need an urgent response to a question, just tag a member of staff.
How to tag another member; how to answer when someone tags you

If you prefer a different thread title, just post what you want and we'll get it changed for you.

Just in case you couldn't find your thread, here are the instructions on finding your thread,
How can I find my threads and posts? . Many members bookmark their thread, so they can find it when they log on.
